Dimensional bounds for ancient caloric functions on graphs [PDF]
We study ancient solutions of polynomial growth to heat equations on graphs, and extend Colding and Minicozzi's theorem [CM19] on manifolds to graphs: For a graph of polynomial volume growth, the dimension of the space of ancient solutions of polynomial growth is bounded by the product of the growth degree and the dimension of harmonic functions with ...

A volume-based approach to the multiplicative ergodic theorem on Banach spaces [PDF]
A volume growth-based proof of the Multiplicative Ergodic Theorem for Banach spaces is presented, following the approach of Ruelle for cocycles acting on a Hilbert space.

Poka: A Necro‐Robot Beetle with a Measured Payload Ratio of 6847%
Here, Poka, a necro‐robot beetle with the ability to carry more than 68 times its own weight, is introduced, making it also a walking robot with the highest payload ratio measured to date. This paper is concerned with the design, manufacture and validation of ‘Poka', a novel millimetre‐scale necro‐robot aimed at bridging the performance gap between ...

On the joint spectral radius for isometries of non-positively curved spaces and uniform growth [PDF]
We recast the notion of joint spectral radius in the setting of groups acting by isometries on non-positively curved spaces and give geometric versions of results of Berger-Wang and Bochi valid for $\delta$-hyperbolic spaces and for symmetric spaces of ...

Energy Dispersion Induced Precisely Tunable Friction of Graphitic Interface
This study introduces a novel approach to precisely tune nanoscale friction on monolayer graphene using coupled DC/AC electric fields. Combining experiments (contact‐mode electrostatic force microscopy) and simulations (generalized Prandtl–Tomlinson model), vertical resonance is shown to disperse horizontal energy, reducing friction while preserving ...

An Analytic Characterization of p,q-White Noise Functionals
In this paper, a characterization theorem for the S-transform of infinite dimensional distributions of noncommutative white noise corresponding to the p,q-deformed quantum oscillator algebra is investigated.

The Liouville theorems for elliptic equations with nonstandard growth [PDF]
We study solutions and supersolutions of homogeneous and nonhomogeneous $\mathcal{A}$-harmonic equations with nonstandard growth in $\mathbb{R}^n$. Various Liouville-type theorems and nonexistence results are proved. The discussion is illustrated by a number of examples.
