Some Interesting Properties of a Novel Subclass of Multivalent Function with Positive Coefficients

open access: yesJournal of Kufa for Mathematics and Computer, 2019
In this paper, we introduce a new class of multivalent functions defined by where is a subclass of analytic and multivalent functions in the open unit disc { | | }.

Growth Theorems in Slice Analysis of Several Variables [PDF]

open access: yesAdvances in Applied Clifford Algebras, 2019
In this paper, we define a class of slice mappings of several Clifford variables, and the corresponding slice regular mappings. Furthermore, we establish the growth theorem for slice regular starlike or convex mappings on the unit ball of several slice Clifford variables, as well as on the bounded slice domain which is slice starlike and slice circular.

A Multi-Factor Uzawa Growth Theorem and Endogenous Capital-Augmenting Technological Change

open access: yesSocial Science Research Network, 2019
We prove a generalized, multi-factor version of the Uzawa steady state growth theorem. In the two-factor case, the theorem implies that a neoclassical growth model cannot be simultaneously consistent with empirical evidence on both capital-augmenting ...

Growth Theorems for a Subclass of Strongly Spirallike Functions [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Applied Mathematics, 2014
In this paper we consider a subclass of strongly spirallike functions on the unit diskDin the complex planeC, namely, strongly almost spirallike functions of typeβand orderα. We obtain the growth results for strongly almost spirallike functions of typeβand orderαon the unit diskDinCby using subordination principles and the geometric properties of ...

Symmetry of solutions to singular fractional elliptic equations and applications

open access: yesComptes Rendus. Mathématique, 2020
In this article, we study the symmetry of positive solutions to a class of singular semilinear elliptic equations whose prototype is \begin{align*} (P) \quad \left\lbrace \begin{array}{ll} (-\Delta )^{s}u = \frac{1}{u^\delta } + f(u), \; u>0\quad ...

Sufficient conditions for open manifolds to be diffeomorphic to Euclidean spaces [PDF]

open access: yes, 2011
Let M be a complete non-compact connected Riemannian n-dimensional manifold. We first prove that, for any fixed point p in M, the radial Ricci curvature of M at p is bounded from below by the radial curvature function of some non-compact n-dimensional ...

Existence results and a priori estimates for solutions of quasilinear problems with gradient terms [PDF]

open access: yesOpuscula Mathematica, 2019
In this paper we establish a priori estimates and then an existence theorem of positive solutions for a Dirichlet problem on a bounded smooth domain in \(\mathbb{R}^N\) with a nonlinearity involving gradient terms.

Spectral multipliers for Laplacians with drift on Damek-Ricci spaces [PDF]

open access: yes, 2013
We prove a multiplier theorem for certain Laplacians with drift on Damek-Ricci spaces, which are a class of Lie groups of exponential growth. Our theorem generalizes previous results obtained by W. Hebisch, G. Mauceri and S.

Plant root growth and the marginal value theorem [PDF]

open access: yesProceedings of the National Academy of Sciences, 2009
All organisms must find and consume resources to live, and the strategies an organism uses when foraging can have significant impacts on their fitness. Models assuming optimality in foraging behavior, and which quantitatively account for the costs, benefits, and biological constraints of foraging, are common in the animal literature.

Q-Extension of Starlike Functions Subordinated with a Trigonometric Sine Function

open access: yesMathematics, 2020
The main purpose of this article is to examine the q-analog of starlike functions connected with a trigonometric sine function. Further, we discuss some interesting geometric properties, such as the well-known problems of Fekete-Szegö, the necessary and ...
