Plant Trait Segmentation for Plant Growth Monitoring
2020 35th International Conference on Image and Vision Computing New Zealand (IVCNZ), 20203D point cloud segmentation is an important step for plant phenotyping applications. The segmentation should be able to separate the various plant components such as leaves and stem robustly to enable traits to be measured. Also, it is important for the segmentation method to work on range of plant architectures with good accuracy and computation time.

Mapping of quantitative trait loci for growth and carcass traits in commercial sheep populations.
Journal of animal science, 2004Quantitative trait loci analyses were applied to data from Suffolk and Texel commercial sheep flocks in the United Kingdom. The populations comprised 489 Suffolk animals in three half-sib families and 903 Texel animals in nine half-sib families. Phenotypic data comprised measurements of live weight at 8 and 20 wk of age and ultrasonically measured fat ...

Competition‐Induced Trait Variability Obscures Trait–Growth Relationships of Tree Seedlings
Ecology LettersABSTRACT Trait‐based ecology seeks to improve plant growth predictions by incorporating individual trait variability, yet empirical studies have shown that even individual‐level traits struggle to predict growth due to unclear mechanisms. In a 3‐year experiment measuring 10 functional traits and growth in 5188 seedlings, we found that

Genome-Wide Association Studies of Human Growth Traits
2013Despite the high heritability of human growth traits, until recently little was known about the underlying genes and genetic variants which explain normal variation of growth. In the past few years, genome-wide association studies have successfully identified hundreds of genetic variants that are associated with human growth traits. These variants have

Growth and milk yield traits of türkgeldi sheep
2004This study was conducted from data from 3 years of research performed at the Turkgeldi State Farm in 1997-2000. A total of 1053 Turkgeldi Pro-type B-1 Tahirova x Kivircik sheep including mature and young individuals were used as the study material. Litter size and fecundity were 1.42 and 1.51, respectively.
