Dipeptide mimetics of nerve growth factor and brain-derived neurotrophic factor, GK-2 and GSB-106 and their cytoprotective properties in the model of oxidative stress

Journal of Clinical Physiology and Pathology, 2023
Relevance. At the V.V. Zakusov Research Institute of Pharmacology. Zakusov dimeric dipeptide mimetics of nerve growth factor (NGF) and brain derived neurotrophic factor (BDNF), GK-2 and GSB-106, respectively, were created. GK-2 and GSS-106 were found to be similar to the corresponding full-length neurotrophinsin their mechanism of action and ...

[Behavioral and neurochemical aspects of the antidepressive action of GSB-106 dipeptide BDNF fragment].

Eksperimental'naia i klinicheskaia farmakologiia, 2013
The behavioral and neurochemical effects of synthetic dipeptide fragment GSB-106 of BDNF, administered in a single dose of 0.1 mg/kg (i.p.), have been studied in comparison to amitriptyline (10 mg/kg, i.p.) on the Nomura depressive state model employing forced-rotating-wheel swim test (FST) in Wistar rats.

[Study of structure-activity relationship in series of Gsb-106 analogues-dipeptide mimetics of brain-derived neurotrophic factor].

Bioorganicheskaia khimiia, 2015
In previous work we have obtained a dimeric dipeptide mimetic of 4th loop of BDNF - hexamethylenediamide bis-(N-monosuccinil-L-seryl-L-lysine) (GSB-106), having a neuroprotective activity in vitro in a concentration range 10(-5)-10(-8) M and an antidepressant activity in vivo at doses 0.1 and 1 mg/kg i.p. in rats.

Effect of the dipeptide BDNF mimetic (compound GSB-106) on reflex development and monoamine levels in Wistar rats with an experimental autism spectrum disorder

Pharmacokinetics and Pharmacodynamics
Autism spectrum disorder (ASD) is a neurodevelopmental condition accompanied by alterations in serotonergic, dopaminergic, and noradrenergic systems, as well as delays in early psychomotor and sensorimotor development. One possible approach to correcting these disturbances is the use of BDNF mimetics that regulate synaptic plasticity and neurogenesis ...
