Analysing GSM Insecurity [PDF]

open access: yesE. Donald (2016). Analysing GSM Insecurity. 10-18, 2021
In the 1990s, GSM emerged as a cutting-edge technology that promised improved services, mobility, security, and increase in the revenues of companies through improved, secure communication for business transactions. The practical experience, however, has shown global subscribers and companies that mere technological excellence of GSM has not resulted ...

Thin carbon–polypyrrole composite materials for supercapacitor electrodes by novel bipolar electrochemical setup

open access: yesElectrochemical Science Advances, Volume 2, Issue 6, December 2022., 2022
Abstract A simple approach to mitigate the use of high voltages on thin bipolar electrodes is described here for the first time. The method involves stacking the desired thin conductor onto a thicker one, thereby creating a pseudo‐single electrode whose width is the sum of the two.

One model to rule them all: identifying priority bat habitats from multi‐species habitat suitability models

open access: yesThe Journal of Wildlife Management, Volume 87, Issue 2, February 2023., 2023
This manuscript creates state‐wide habitat suitability models for the eastern red, hoary, and tri‐colored bat in Illinois. Along with a previously published habitat suitability model for the Indiana bat, we create a stacked habitat suitability model that is a proxy for all Chiropteran species in Illinois.

Optimal deployment of indoor wireless local area networks

open access: yesNetworks, Volume 81, Issue 1, Page 23-50, January 2023., 2023
Abstract We present a two‐phase methodology to address the problem of optimally deploying indoor wireless local area networks. In the first phase, we use Helmholtz's equation to simulate electromagnetic fields in a typical environment such as an office floor.
