GSM evolution to an IN platform: Offering GSM mobility as an IN service
1994An architecture based on the integration of IN and GSM was presented as a possible path for the evolution of GSM to UMTS. From the standards point of view what is need is the absorption of MAP into INAP, resulting in a unified protocol. With a unified protocol the architecture presented here becomes viable.

We study the infinite words generated by an iterated generalized sequential machine (gsm). The motivation was twofold. The first one was given by the apparent similarity between the iterated gsm and the iterated morphism. However contrary to the appearences almost all questions become undecidable. The second one was to disprove the following conjecture
