Origami‐Inspired Structural Design for Aquatic‐Terrestrial Amphibious Robots

open access: yesAdvanced Robotics Research, EarlyView.
This work presents a lightweight amphibious origami robot actuated by a single shape memory alloy wire. A rigid foldable origami structure with displacement amplification enables efficient terrestrial crawling and aquatic swimming. The addition of fan‐shaped units allows controllable turning in both environments.

Domino Synthesis of Functionalized Cyclic Acetals From Organic Carbonates

open access: yesAdvanced Synthesis &Catalysis, EarlyView.
Cyclic carbonates equipped with acrylic functional groups are shown to undergo a domino process in the presence of a suitable alkoxide to deliver novel types of decorated cyclic acetals. The developed protocol combines practical conditions and a wide scope and features a new reactivity modus for these carbon dioxide‐derived heterocyclic precursors.

The Strange Quark Contribution to the Proton's Magnetic Moment [PDF]

open access: yes, 2003
We report a new determination of the strange quark contribution to the proton's magnetic form factor at a four-momentum transfer Q2 = 0.1 (GeV/c)^2 from parity-violating e-p elastic scattering.

Upscaling Sodium‐Ion Battery Cells: From Aqueous Processing to Performance Assessment of Hard Carbon|Prussian White Pouch Cells

open access: yesAdvanced Energy Materials, EarlyView.
This study investigates the feasibility of scaling up Prussian White (PW)‐based cathode manufacturing at a pilot scale. Through careful PW dehydration combined with optimized aqueous processing, we report the stepwise development of industrially relevant 1 Ah pouch cells and evaluate their performance under various conditions.

Performance and Statistical Analysis of Stream ciphers in GSM Communications

open access: yesJournal of Communications Software and Systems, 2020
For a stream cipher to be secure, the keystreamgenerated by it should be uniformly random with parameter 1/2.Statistical tests check whether the given sequence follow a certainprobability distribution.

Multivariate data approximation with preprocessing of data

open access: yesComputer Assisted Methods in Engineering and Science, 2022
An adaptive information system is constructed in order to approximate a set of multidimensional data. To get better approximation properties a pre-processing stage of data is proposed in which the set of points, forming the multidimensional data base ...
