GSR CONDITIONING AND PSEUDOCONDITIONING
British Journal of Psychology, 1962Subjects were placed into conditioning or pseudoconditioning groups, and received one, three, or five UCS trials (paired with CS or single). The sequence of the schedule was: ten light stimuli—tones (the UCS)—ten light stimuli. Significantly more GSR's were given to the final light series than to the first.

Conditioned Stimulus Effects on Stuttering and GSRs
Journal of Speech, Language, and Hearing Research, 1980The simultaneous effects of a conditioned stimulus on the frequency of autonomic arousal responses (GSRs) and stuttering for ten subjects were investigated. GSR and stuttering responses were recorded during baserate, treatment, and extinction conditions for three sessions. A face slide was presented continuously for treatment conditions of all sessions.

Gsr Conditioning and Pseudoconditionlng with Prolonged Practice
Psychological Reports, 19702 groups of Ss received 16 conditioning or pseudoconditioning trials per day for 5 days. The compound (light-tone) CS was paired with a 3.5-ma electric shock (ISI = .5 sec.) in the conditioning group but the stimuli were not paired in the pseudoconditioning group.

Voluntary Control of GSRS and Reports of Sweating
Perceptual and Motor Skills, 1973The results of two previous studies (Stern Kaplan, 1967; Stern & Lewis, 1968) have shown that those Ss who were best able to control their galvanic skin responses (GSRs) usually reported that their primary bodily response co real-life suess was sweating.

GSR Responses to Fear-Related Stimuli
Perceptual and Motor Skills, 1967GSR responses to a set of tachistoscopically presented color slides were compared for 10 Ss who reported intense fear of spiders and 10 Ss admitting no unreasonable fears. Employing the index, ratio of response to spider-pictures over response to neutral stimuli (landscapes), perfect discrimination between the 2 groups of Ss was obtained.

Delayed CR in Classical GSR Conditioning
Psychological Reports, 19712 conditioning groups received 3 trials with either a .5-sec. or a 20-sec. ISI, and then 40 trials with a 20-sec. ISI. 2 pseudoconditioning groups received the same number of CSs and UCSs in an unpaired order but differed according to whether CS duration on the first 3 trials was .6 sec. or 20.1 sec.
