An LPV approach to the guaranteed cost control for Lur'e systems
Proceedings of the 2010 American Control Conference, 2010In this paper, we consider the guaranteed cost control problem of Lur'e systems which are represented by linear parameter varying (LPV) systems. Sector bounds and slope bounds are employed to a augmented Lyapunov functional through convex representation of the nonlinearities so that new less conservative conditions are obtained.

Guaranteed Cost Control for Singularly Perturbed Uncertain Systems
Sixth International Conference on Intelligent Systems Design and Applications, 2006This paper studies the guaranteed cost control for singularly perturbed uncertain systems. The system is decomposed into slow and fast sub-systems. The uncertainties in the fast subsystem are transferred to the composite control gain and are considered as the controller gain perturbations.

Hassle Costs: The Achilles' Heel of Price‐Matching Guarantees*
Journal of Economics & Management Strategy, 1999We show that price‐matching guarantees can facilitate monopoly pricing only if firms automatically match prices. If consumers must instead request refunds (thereby incurring hassle costs), we find that any increase in equilibrium prices due to firms' price‐matching policies will be small; often, no price increase can be supported.

The Cost of Job Guarantee in the United States
Review of Radical Political Economics, 2014From the 1960s, Minsky argued that implementing a decentralized job-guarantee policy funded by the federal government was a relevant way to promote full employment and price stability, and to alleviate poverty. This policy aims at providing a job to anybody willing to work and to pay a living wage.

Guaranteed cost control for uncertain stochastic multimodeling systems
2009 European Control Conference (ECC), 2009The guaranteed cost control problem for stochastic multimodeling systems with norm bounded uncertainty is investigated. The main contribution in this paper is that a new parameter independent controller is derived by solving the reduced-order slow and fast stochastic algebraic Riccati equations (SAREs) whose dimension is smaller than the dimension of ...

Delay-Guaranteed Minimum Cost Forest for Uncertain Multicast
2017 IEEE 23rd International Conference on Parallel and Distributed Systems (ICPADS), 2017Multicast can efficiently reduce the consumption of network resources by jointly serving multiple destinations with a single source node along a Steiner tree. Nowadays many applications employ a given replica system to improve the service quality; hence, each file and its replicas are usually distributed among multiple servers.

Finite-horizon guaranteed cost control
2000As mentioned in Chapter 1, the problem of directly extending the results of Chapter 5 to the case of a finite time horizon or to the case of time-varying uncertain systems, appears to be mathematically intractable. In this chapter, we overcome this difficulty by considering an alternative class of uncertain systems with structured uncertainty.

Robust Quantized Guaranteed Cost Control
Applied Mechanics and Materials, 2013In this paper, the robust state feedback guaranteed cost control problem for discrete-time systems with signal quantization is studied. A dynamic quantization control strategy is proposed with updating the quantizer’s parameter such that the system is asymptotically stable and the performance index is with a upper bound.

Guaranteed Cost Control for Delayed GRNs
2019This chapter addresses the problem of state feedback guaranteed cost control for uncertain GRNs with interval time-varying delays. The involved norm-bounded uncertainties are first transformed into external disturbances, and then an LKF approach combined with the convex technique and cone complementarity linearization technique is proposed to ...
