Cellular immune response of Amblyomma sculptum and Amblyomma americanum to entomopathogenic fungi: Implications for biological tick control

Amblyomma sculptum showed a plasmatocyte‐dominant haemocyte profile. Beauveria bassiana increased plasmatocytes and reduced granulocytes, whereas Metarhizium robertsii did not cause significant changes. Amblyomma americanum showed a granulocyte‐dominant haemocyte profile. Beauveria bassiana reduced total haemocytes and granulocytes. B.

Topical ALA‐ and MAL‐based photodynamic protocols combined with amber light and infrared irradiation produced distinct PpIX fluorescence profiles in photoaged skin, revealing different photodynamic responses and supporting their potential use as complementary strategies for skin rejuvenation and improvement of photoaging‐related strategies.

Molecular investigation of the phylogenetic placement of Kartalinia and a revision of Bituminaria (Fabaceae: Psoraleeae)

Abstract The genus Kartalinia was described to accommodate a single, obscure species, Psoralea acaulis, based on its unique morphology and karyology. No concerted molecular phylogenetic studies were available for this species at the time, and therefore its phylogenetic position was uncertain.
