Journal of Parasitology, 2002Ten parasite species were identified after a study carried out on 125 swordfish from the Gulf of Guinea waters. The samples were taken between August and November 1997; 3 of the parasite species, Caligus coryphaenae. Pelichnibothrium speciossum, and Sphyriocephalus viridis were recorded for the first time on this host.

IEEE Geoscience and Remote Sensing Letters, 2015The classical case of favorable winds driving coastal upwelling does not adequately account for the upwelling observed along the northwestern Gulf of Guinea (GoG) coast, which is the area of focus in this letter. Herein, we used mainly satellite-derived data to examine the dynamics of upwelling in the study area.
