Integrated Study Of Dinoflagellate Diversity In The Gulf of Naples [PDF]
Dinoflagellates are a diverse lineage of protists known as an essential component of marine planktonic communities. To study their seasonal diversity at the LTER-MC station in the Gulf of Naples, I used high throughput sequencing (HTS) metabarcoding of the V4 region in the 18S rDNA.

Old but Sold? Innovation Through Tradition Strategy for Export and the Role of Family Involvement
ABSTRACT Despite the notable body of research, the family firm (FF) internationalization literature has overlooked the role of innovation strategies in explaining FFs' export performance. We focus on the innovation through tradition (ITT) strategy—specifically, the degree to which a firm leverages its firm‐specific, mature (i.e., past) knowledge in the

Detecting microplastics pollution in world oceans using SAR remote sensing [PDF]
Plastic pollution in the world’s oceans is estimated to have reached 270.000 tones, or 5.25 trillion pieces. This plastic is now ubiquitous, however due to ocean circulation patterns, it accumulates in the ocean gyres, creating “garbage patches”.

Flow-volume curve analysis for predicting recurrence after endoscopic dilation of airway stenosis [PDF]
The flow-volume curve is a simple test for diagnosing upper airway obstruction. We evaluated its use to predict recurrence in patients undergoing endoscopic dilation for treatment of benign upper airway ...

High-resolution morpho-bathymetry of the Gulf of Naples, Eastern Tyrrhenian Sea [PDF]
We present a high-resolution bathymetric map of the Gulf of Naples (Italy), which is surrounded by the two main volcanic complexes of Mt. Somma-Vesuvius and Phlegrean Fields. The morphology is obtained from swath bathymetric in a Digital Terrain Model with a 5 m grid cell size.

Gas exchange and pulmonary stress variations during SCUBA and breath‐hold diving in open seawater
Abstract figure legend Healthy, trained divers were studied before, during and after diving in open seawater with different techniques. SCUBA divers (diving to 15 or 40 m with air; cycling at depth) and breath‐hold divers (BHDs; sled‐assisted dives to 15, 25 or 40 m) underwent underwater and surface arterial blood gas (ABG) sampling.
