Generalized Estimation Methods for Non-i.i.d. Binary Data: An Application to Dichotomous Choice Contingent Valuation [PDF]
We challenge the assumption of i.i.d random utility across alternatives embedded in typical applications of logit models to dichotomous choice contingent valuation data.

Omnibus goodness‐of‐fit tests for univariate continuous distributions based on trigonometric moments
ABSTRACT We propose a new omnibus goodness‐of‐fit test based on trigonometric moments of probability‐integral‐transformed data. The test builds on the framework of the LK test introduced by Langholz and Kronmal [J. Amer. Statist. Assoc. 86 (1991), 1077–1084], but fully exploits the covariance structure of the associated trigonometric statistics.

ABSTRACT Survival analysis is an important area of medical research, yet existing models often struggle to balance simplicity with flexibility. Simple models require minimal adjustments but come with strong assumptions, while more flexible models require significant input and tuning from researchers.

Comparative analysis of the seismic hazard of Central China [PDF]
Seismic hazard assessment is globally recognised as a tool in identifying levels of earthquake ground shaking within an area. However, methodologies for seismic hazard calculation are wide ranging and produce variations in results and maps.

Anthropogenic Forcing Amplifies Concurrent Risk of Pluvial Pakistan–Hot Yangtze
Abstract During July–August 2022, Pakistan (PKT) experienced catastrophic flooding while the Yangtze River Basin (YRB) endured unprecedented heatwaves. While previous studies have examined the physical teleconnections, there remains a critical gap in quantifying the role of anthropogenic forcing in shaping such trans‐regional concurrent extremes. Here,

Genomic responses to increased temperature and pollinator selection in Brassica rapa L.
Summary Rapid environmental change reshapes both abiotic stress and biotic interactions, yet it remains unclear how these combined forces structure plants' genomic adaptation. In particular, the joint influence of temperature and pollinator identity, two ecological axes undergoing simultaneous global shifts, has rarely been quantified at genomic ...

ABSTRACT This article addresses the problem of quantifying the uncertainty in planning aircraft ground movement operations using towbarless robotic tractors taking into account the inherent uncertainties of the problem, specifically, the uncertainties in the weight of the aircraft and in the rolling resistance of the wheels of the main landing gear ...
