The Topp-Leone Gumbel distribution

2016 12th International Conference on Mathematics, Statistics, and Their Applications (ICMSA), 2016
We have commenced the Topp-Leone Gumbel (TLGB) distribution. There is one additional parameter to the Gumbel distribution. The moment generating function is also provided. Maximum likelihood method and L-moment method are applied to estimate parameters of the TLGB distribution.

A Characteristic Property of Gumbel's Bivariate Exponential Distribution

Calcutta Statistical Association Bulletin, 1987
The present note characterises Gumbel's bivariate exponential distribution by means of the property \[ E[(X_ i-t_ i)^+| X_{3-i}>t_{3-i}]E[(X_ i-s_ i)^+| X_{3-i}>t_{3-i}]= \] \[ E[X_ i| X_{3-i}>t_{3-i}]E[(X_ i-t_ i-s_ i)^+| X_{3-i}>t_{3-i}] \] for all \(s_ i,t_ i\geq 0\), \(i=1,2\), where \((X_ i-t_ i)^+=\max (X_ i-t_ i,0)\).

A simple Bayesian estimation of the gumbel distribution

2008 IEEE International Conference on Industrial Engineering and Engineering Management, 2008
Practical use of Bayesian estimation of two-parameter Gumbel distribution often requires a two-dimensional joint prior distribution of the Gumbel parameters. It is particularly difficult to convince practitioners to believe any results from their subjective prior distribution.

A Note on the Exchangeable Generalized Farlie-Gumbel-Morgenstern Distributions

Communications in Statistics - Simulation and Computation, 1975
In this note we find a necessary condition and a sufficient condition for a multivariate Farlie-Gumbel-Morgenstern (FGM) distribution to be positively dependent in a sense of Dykstra et al. (1973), Sidak (1973) and Shaked (197S). Applications of the results to problems in the theory of 8ayesian survey sampling and in reliability theory are discussed.
