Abstract We quantify CO2 emissions from smaller anthropogenic point sources compared with earlier satellite studies, which have mostly focused on mid‐sized (∼10 MtCO2/year) and larger fossil fuel burning power plants. Two types of Orbiting Carbon Observatory (OCO) observation modes are used: OCO‐2 Target mode and OCO‐3 Snapshot Area Mapping (SAM) mode.

A novel method for estimating avian roost sizes using passive acoustic recordings
The Javan myna, Acridotheres javanicus, is an invasive communally roosting species in Singapore (left panel, photo taken by J.J. Harrison). We deployed a passive acoustic recorder (centre panel) and analysed their roost chorus by applying machine learning methods. Our estimated bird counts over time using our acoustic model matched the automated visual

This study utilizes a 3D numerical analysis to examine the influence of different vortices generated on turbine efficiency with straight and J‐type blades. The numerical simulation of this study employs the Reynolds‐averaged Navier–Stokes equations and sliding mesh techniques to model the rotational motion of blades more accurately about the turbine
