$USp(32)$ Special Grand Unification [PDF]

We discuss a grand unified theory (GUT) based on a $USp(32)$ GUT gauge group broken to its subgroups including a special subgroup. A GUT based on an $SO(32)$ GUT gauge group has been discussed on six-dimensional (6D) orbifold space $M^4\times T^2/\mathbb{Z}_2$.

In the minimal SUSY SU(5) GUT with $O(1)$ TeV SUSY particles and $O(1)$ or below self-coupling for the GUT-breaking Higgs field, the width of the dimension-6 proton decay is suppressed below the reach of Hyper-Kamiokande. Inhibitor of DNA binding‐1 is a key regulator of cancer cell vasculogenic mimicry

Elevated expression of transcriptional regulator inhibitor of DNA binding 1 (ID1) promoted cancer cell‐mediated vasculogenic mimicry (VM) through regulation of pro‐angiogenic and pro‐cancerous genes (e.g. VE‐cadherin (CDH5), TIE2, MMP9, DKK1). Higher ID1 expression also increased metastases to the lung and the liver.
