On the relationship between metrics to compare greenhouse gases – the case of IGTP, GWP and SGTP [PDF]
Metrics for comparing greenhouse gases are analyzed, with a particular focus on the integrated temperature change potential (IGTP) following a call from IPCC to investigate this metric.

Abstract Scaled production of cultivated meat (CM) will co‐produce large volumes of spent media. Recycling of abundant metabolites such as lactic acid in spent media offers an opportunity for valorization and reduction of the carbon footprint of CM production; however, the feasibility has yet to be examined.

Codazzi spinors and globally hyperbolic manifolds with special holonomy
In this paper we examine the structure of Riemannian manifolds with a special kind of Codazzi tensors. We use them to construct globally hyperbolic Lorentzian manifolds with complete Cauchy hypersurfaces for any weakly irreducible holonomy representation

High‐Temperature Heat Pump Test Bench with n‐Butane (R‐600) Generating Steam
This work involves building a test bench for a high‐temperature heat pump (HTHP) and analyzing the measurements. The focus is on steam generation using an HTHP to decarbonize process steam demand. The findings indicate that stable steam generation is possible, providing a higher heat transfer coefficient in the heat pump's condenser.

Eco-friendly gas mixtures for Resistive Plate Chambers based on Tetrafluoropropene and Helium
Due to the recent restrictions deriving from the application of the Kyoto protocol, the main components of the gas mixtures presently used in the Resistive Plate Chambers systems of the LHC experiments will be most probably phased out of production in ...

A Methodology to Integrate Closed‐Cycle Heat Pumps into Batch Distillation Columns
Batch distillation often cannot use vapor recompression due to contamination risks in food and pharma. This study proposes a design for integrating closed‐loop heat pumps using natural fluids. Results show significant energy savings, offering a sustainable alternative to traditional setups.

Transport properties measurement on low GWP alternative refrigerants [PDF]
New experimental data on the thermal conductivity and the viscosity of low-GWP refrigerants such as HFOs are reported in order to contribute to the development of low-GWP refrigeration/heat pump systems. Accurate data on thermodynamic and transport properties are indispensable to design and to manufacture the systems with high efficiency.

Potential Analysis of On‐Site Oxygen and Ozone Production for Wastewater Treatment Plants
The potential of a power‐to‐gas process focusing on the oxygen stream to cover an upcoming demand of ozone at German wastewater treatment plants is analyzed. Economic and ecological parameters are compared to the conventional production of hydrogen and oxygen. Powered by on‐site produced wind energy, the process is deemed beneficial.
