Pragmatic but Principled: Background report on Integrated Water Resource Management [PDF]
IWRM is about integrated and "joined-up" management. It is about promoting integration across sectors, applications, groups in society and time, based upon an agreed set of principles.

A study of Ni‐Co/CeO2 catalyst derived from metal–organic framework for dry reforming of methane
Abstract The efficacy of cobalt‐doped, MOF‐derived catalysts for dry reforming of methane (DRM) was examined. The focus was on the influence of varying nickel and cobalt molar ratios on catalytic performance. Three catalysts with Ni:Co ratios of 1:1, 1:0.5, and 0.5:1, were synthesized and tested with cerium oxide as a constant support. The DRM reaction

Evaluating Global Warming Potentials as Historical Temperature Proxies: an application of ACC2 Inverse Calculation [PDF]
Global Warming Potentials (GWPs) are evaluated as proxies of the historical temperature by applying them to convert historical CH4 and N2O emissions to equivalent CO2 emissions.

Comparison of PSA and amine‐based absorption for syngas purification shows that PSA offers lower energy intensity, global warming potential, and minimum selling price, making it a more sustainable option. However, absorption achieves higher syngas purity. A GREENSCOPE‐based multi‐criteria assessment guides optimal process selection.

Slow market development has caused the lack of low-GWP A1 refrigerants for ultra-low temperature (ULT) refrigeration. Consequently, the high-GWP refrigerant R23 (GWP = 14,600) remains widely used within the ULT sector.

Unintentional unfairness when applying new greenhouse gas emissions metrics at country level
The 2015 Paris Agreement sets out that rapid reductions in greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions are needed to keep global warming to safe levels. A new approach (known as GWP *) has been suggested to compare contributions of long- and short-lived GHGs ...

POE Lubricant Candidates For Low GWP Refrigerants
Several series of polyol ester (POE) refrigeration lubricants have been investigated for low GWP refrigerant R32 (R-410A replacement) and HFO-1234ze (R-134a replacement). The main problem of R32/HFO refrigeration lubricant development can be summarized as balancing between miscibility, solubility and lubricity. Generally speaking, refrigerant-lubricant
