Gynecologic imaging presents some unique challenges and diagnostic pitfalls. The challenges differ depending on the imaging modality used. Ultrasound imaging is the most readily available and commonly used modality in gynecologic imaging. It serves as an adjunct to clinical examination and is often the only imaging modality necessary.
