Description of Gyrodactylus banmae n. sp. (Monogenea, Gyrodactylidae) parasitic on zebrafish, Danio rerio.

Parasitology International, 2021
A new species of Gyrodactylus was described on the body surface of zebrafish (Danio rerio) in China. Basing on morphological characteristics and ITS sequence, we identified the parasite as a new member of the Gyrodactylus-wageneri group. Morphologically, Gyrodactylus sp. nov. is greatly similar to "G.

Choice matters: Incipient speciation in Gyrodactylus corydori (Monogenoidea: Gyrodactylidae)

International Journal for Parasitology, 2011
We investigated how Gyrodactylus corydoriBueno-Silva and Boeger, 2009 exploits two sympatric host species, Corydoras paleatus (Jenyns, 1842) and Corydoras ehrhardti Steindachner, 1910. Specimens of G. corydori were collected from the Piraquara and Miringuava Rivers, State of Paraná, Brazil, between 2005 and 2006.

Molecular markers for gyrodactylids (Gyrodactylidae: Monogenea) from five fish families (Teleostei)

International Journal for Parasitology, 2001
Thirty-one gyrodactylid species from five families of freshwater fish were examined and variable region V4 of the 18S small subunit ribosomal RNA gene and ribosomal RNA internal transcribed spacers ITS1 and ITS2 were sequenced. Both the V4 region and spacers ITS1 and ITS2 proved useful for gyrodactylid diagnosis.

The Nuclear rDNA Region of Gyrodactylus arcuatus and G. branchicus (Monogenea: Gyrodactylidae)

The Journal of Parasitology, 2000
The primary structure of the ribosomal DNA internal transcribed spacers (ITS-1 and ITS-2) and 5.8S rRNA gene were used to characterize and identify 2 monogenean species of Gyrodacrylus living externally on the threespine stickleback (Gasterosteus aculeatus).

Haptoral hard part variability in Gyrodactylus teuchis Lautraite, Blanc, Thiery, Daniel & Vigneulle, 1999 (Monopisthocotyla: Gyrodactylidae) parasitizing cage-reared rainbow trout in Karelia

Паразитология / Parasitology
Variability of the marginal hooks of Gyrodactylus teuchis parasitizing rainbow trout Oncorhynchus mykiss (Walbaum, 1792) was studied in cage farms situated in water bodies of the Baltic and White Sea drainage basins.

Seasonal occurrence and metrical variability of Gyrodactylus rhodei Žitňan 1964 (Monogenea, Gyrodactylidae)

Parasitology Research, 2005
The seasonal dynamics of Gyrodactylus rhodei, a monogenean ectoparasite of bitterling (Rhodeus sericeus), was studied from June 2000 to May 2001 in the Kyjovka River, Czech Republic. A negative relationship between prevalence and intensity of infection of G. rhodei and water temperature was found.

Description of three new species of Gyrodactylus von Nordmann, 1832 (Monopisthocotylea: Gyrodactylidae) on Triplophysa species (Nemacheilidae) from Qinghai-Tibet Plateau

Journal of Helminthology
Three new species of Gyrodactylus were identified from the body surface of the Triplophysa species from the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau, Gyrodactylus triplorienchili n. sp. on Triplophysa orientalis in northern Tibet, G. yellochili n. sp. on T. sellaefer and T.
