Novel thermal aspects of hybrid nanofluid flow comprising of manganese zinc ferrite MnZnFe2O4, nickel zinc ferrite NiZnFe2O4 and motile microorganisms

open access: yesAin Shams Engineering Journal, 2022
An enhancement in heat transfer due to nanofluids is essentially required in various thermal systems. Hybrid nanofluids possess high thermal conductivity and, have ability to embellish and enhance the thermal strength of common fluids.

Bioconvective gyrotactic microorganisms in third-grade nanofluid flow over a Riga surface with stratification: An approach to entropy minimization

open access: yesOpen Physics, 2023
Interest in the thermal effects of nanofluid (NF) has increased recently due to the use of nanocomposites to magnify the thermal conductivity of conventional liquids and so boost the heat transit phenomena.

Gyrotactic microorganism and bio-convection during flow of Prandtl-Eyring nanomaterial [PDF]

open access: yesNonlinear Engineering, 2021
Abstract Our main intension behind this work is to investigate Prandtl-Eyring nanomaterial in presence of gyrotactic microorganisms. Flow is generated via stretching sheet and is subject to melting heat effect. Radiation and dissipation are addressed. Entropy rate is also reported.

Clustering of gyrotactic microorganisms in turbulent flows

open access: yes, 2012
We study the spatial distribution of gyrotactic microorganisms transported by a three-dimensional turbulent flow generated by direct numerical simulations. We find that gyrotaxis combines with turbulent fluctuations to produce small scales (multi-)fractal clustering.

Impact of double-diffusive convection and motile gyrotactic microorganisms on magnetohydrodynamics bioconvection tangent hyperbolic nanofluid

open access: yesOpen Physics, 2020
The double-diffusive tangent hyperbolic nanofluid containing motile gyrotactic microorganisms and magnetohydrodynamics past a stretching sheet is examined. By adopting the scaling group of transformation, the governing equations of motion are transformed
