Research and Development on Coatings and Paints for Geothermal Environments: A Review
Geothermal power production, by harnessing the natural heat in the earth's crust, provides clean energy, with year‐round availability. However, corrosion, erosion, and scaling of power plant components can hinder energy production. In his review paper, the first of its kind since 1980, a detailed overview of research studies on coatings developed to ...

Abstract High‐temperature geothermal areas are often characterized by widespread surficial manifestations, whose location is strictly controlled by sets of faults of regional relevance. The geochemical and isotopic signature of the discharged fluids can reveal key information on the geothermal fluids pathway, shedding light on the sources and fluid ...

Abstract It remains unclear to what extent the interosseous membrane (IOM) is affected through the whole range of motion (ROM) in posttraumatic deformities of the forearm. The purpose of this study is to describe the ligament‐ and bone‐related factors involved in rotational deficit of the forearm. Through three‐dimensional (3D) kinematic simulations on

3D geometric morphometrics has been applied on the humerus and ulna of three European mole species: T. occidentalis, T. europeae and including the newly described T. aquitania. Specific shape differences have been found both on the humerus and ulna, in relation with muscle attachments and their digging abilities.

Abstract Purpose Primary glenohumeral osteoarthritis is commonly associated with static posterior subluxation of the humeral head. Scapulae with static/dynamic posterior instability feature a superiorly and horizontally oriented acromion. We investigated whether the acromion acts as a restraint to posterior humeral translation.

Comminuted coronoid fracture is a challengeable to manage in clinical practice. Herein, a suture‐preset spring plate system (SSPS) is devised and applied to fix the fracture. The hook‐like spring plate combined with the suture provide solid stability for the fracture reduction and its clinical outcomes are investigated. Objective This study is aimed to
