Enhancing the Performance of Direct Seeded Fine Rice by Seed Priming
Higher water requirements and increasing labor costs are the major problems of the traditional rice production system. Direct seeded rice culture, growing rice without standing water, can be an attractive alternate.

Music detection from broadcast contents using convolutional neural networks with a Mel-scale kernel
We propose a new method for music detection from broadcasting contents using the convolutional neural networks with a Mel-scale kernel. In this detection task, music segments should be annotated from the broadcast data, where music, speech, and noise are

Wiener-Hopf solution for impenetrable wedges at skew incidence [PDF]
A new Wiener-Hopf approach for the solution of impenetrable wedges at skew incidence is presented. Mathematical aspects are described in a unified and consistent theory for angular region problems.

Edgeworth and Cornish Fisher expansions and confidence intervals for the distribution, density and
We show that kernel density estimates of bandwidth h=h(n)→0 satisfy the Cornish-Fisher assumption with parameter m=nh. This allows Cornish-Fisher expansions about the normal for standardized and Studentized kernel density estimates.

Training Echo State Networks with Regularization through Dimensionality Reduction [PDF]
In this paper we introduce a new framework to train an Echo State Network to predict real valued time-series. The method consists in projecting the output of the internal layer of the network on a space with lower dimensionality, before training the ...

$(k,H)$-kernels in nearly tournaments
Let $H$ be a digraph possibly with loops, $D$ a digraph without loops, and $ρ: A(D) \rightarrow V(H)$ a coloring of $A(D)$ ($D$ is said to be an $H$-colored digraph). If $W=(x_{0}, \ldots , x_{n})$ is a walk in $D$, and $i \in \{ 0, \ldots , n-1 \}$, we say that there is an obstruction on $x_{i}$ whenever $(ρ(x_{i-1}, x_{i}), ρ(x_{i}, x_{i+1})) \notin ...

Fast and easy blind deblurring using an inverse filter and PROBE
PROBE (Progressive Removal of Blur Residual) is a recursive framework for blind deblurring. Using the elementary modified inverse filter at its core, PROBE's experimental performance meets or exceeds the state of the art, both visually and quantitatively.
