We analysed 40 years of Landsat NDVI data across the subarctic‐alpine Cairngorm Mountains to investigate long‐term vegetation change. Germacrene A Synthase (LcTPS3) from Liriodendron was characterized. The biosynthesis of germacrene A was achieved in a yeast chassis, and the catalytic mechanism of LcTPS3 was further elucidated.
