Sociolinguistic variation in the rhythm of Nigerian English speech

open access: yesWorld Englishes, EarlyView.
Abstract There is a dearth of research on speech rhythm in Nigerian English, and scholars have differing views on its nature, ranging from being syllable‐timed to tone‐timed. Apart from the fact that the majority of few available studies were conducted more than a decade ago, the exact nature of speech rhythm in Nigerian English remains contentious ...

Safety, Efficacy, and Patient‐Reported Outcomes From a Phase 2 Randomized Trial of Pozelimab and Cemdisiran Combination in Patients With Paroxysmal Nocturnal Hemoglobinuria

open access: yeseJHaem, Volume 6, Issue 4, August 2025.
ABSTRACT Introduction Paroxysmal nocturnal hemoglobinuria (PNH) is an ultra‐rare, life‐threatening disease associated with chronic intravascular hemolysis due to uncontrolled complement activation. PNH results in anemia with an increased risk of thrombosis, and often causes severe fatigue, and decreased physical function and health‐related quality of ...

Regionally resolved cardiac metabolism using a dipole‐loop array coil for 7 T 31P‐MRSI

open access: yesMagnetic Resonance in Medicine, Volume 94, Issue 2, Page 480-496, August 2025.
Abstract Purpose We introduce a novel commercial phosphorus‐31 (31P) dipole‐loop array coil, describing the coil hardware and testing its performance on phantoms. We used this coil to assess cardiac metabolism per region in healthy volunteers. Methods B1+ field maps were simulated and compared to maps measured with a set of CSI sequences with varying ...

Complex population genetic structure of the bark beetle predator Thanasimus formicarius (L.) (Coleoptera: Cleridae) across its European range

open access: yesAgricultural and Forest Entomology, Volume 27, Issue 3, Page 437-451, August 2025.
Abstract Thanasimus formicarius (L.) (Coleoptera: Cleridae) is an important bark beetle predator and can reduce bark beetle population densities of some of the most severe forest pests in Europe. We analysed the population genetics and phylogeography of T.

Solución del Poliacrilato de Sodio en H20

open access: yesIngenia Materiales, 2019

The Impact of Exposure Dosage and Host Genetics on the Shedding Kinetics of Flavobacterium psychrophilum in Rainbow Trout

open access: yesJournal of Fish Diseases, Volume 48, Issue 8, August 2025.
ABSTRACT Flavobacterium psychrophilum, the causative agent of bacterial cold water disease (BCWD), is one of the leading pathogens in rainbow trout (Oncorhynchus mykiss) aquaculture. To date, there is little knowledge of the transmission kinetics of F. psychrophilum over the course of infection.

Impact of Chelation on Reactivity and Cytotoxicity of Hemilabile Biphenyl Gold(III) N‐Heterocyclic Carbene Complexes

open access: yesChemMedChem, Volume 20, Issue 14, July 18, 2025.
An array of eight pairs of biphenyl gold(III) complexes comprising NHC–pyridine ligands having a hemilabile character in vitro displays antiproliferative activity toward human cells in the low micromolar range which is exclusively due to their neutral open form according to speciation studies.
