Phytochemical Investigation and Isolation of Chemical Constituents From the Root Extract of Syzygium guineense in South Ethiopia

open access: yesAnalytical Science Advances, Volume 6, Issue 2, December 2025.
ABSTRACT Medicinal plants are a global healthcare cornerstone, with traditional communities, particularly in Ethiopia, relying on indigenous knowledge for treating various ailments. This study aimed to identify, isolate, and elucidate the structures of chemical constituents from the chloroform and methanol extracts of Syzygium guineense root using IR ...

A structural systematic study of four isomers of difluoro-N-(3-pyridyl)benzamide [PDF]

open access: yes, 2009
The four isomers 2,4-, (I), 2,5-, (II), 3,4-, (III), and 3,5-difluoro-N-(3-pyridyl)benzamide, (IV), all with formula C12H8F2N2O, display molecular similarity, with interplanar angles between the C6/C5N rings ranging from 2.94 (11)° in (IV) to 4.48 (18 ...

Effect of local annealed area by CO2 laser irradiation on deep drawability of a 1070-H26 aluminum sheet

open access: yesJournal of Japan Institute of Light Metals, 2005
Deep drawing is examined as an example of applying the local annealing method by the CO2 laser. The deep drawing limit of the local annealed blank is obtained at the intersection in two kinds of breaking limit lines generated by expanding the annealed area. The limiting drawing ratio of the cylindrical shell shows D0 max/dP=2.88 (1.29 times the O blank)

Genetic Evidence of Multiple and Diverse Range Expansion Events From an Outbreak of the Crown‐of‐Thorns Seastar, Acanthaster Cf. Solaris on a Subtropical Reef

open access: yesEcology and Evolution, Volume 15, Issue 12, December 2025.
This study examines the population genetics of a Crown of Thorns seastar (Acanthaster cf. solaris) outbreak on a subtropical coral reef. We demonstrate that this population originated from larval connectivity via the East Australian Current from the Great Barrier Reef, with high genomic connectivity indicating substantial risk of future outbreaks as ...

L'evasione in Italia e nei paesi OCSE: evidenze empiriche, determinanti ed effetti economici (Evasion in Italy and in OECD countries: empirical evidence, determinants and economic effects)

open access: yesMoneta e Credito, 2013
The paper analyses evasion in terms of size and its main determinants, and discusses some of the measures to reduce its extension. Instead of attempting a new estimate of evasion, the author uses the many existing estimates and compares them ...

Spectroscopic, X‐Ray Crystallographic, and Hirshfeld Surface Analyses for the Investigation of Intermolecular Interactions in Carboxamide Hydrazone Hybrids

open access: yesChemistryOpen, Volume 14, Issue 12, December 2025.
Two novel carboxamide hydrazone hybrids are synthesized and characterized. Structural, spectroscopic, and computational analyses reveal dominant hydrogen bonding, π–π stacking, and reactive sites. Compound 2b exhibits potent antibacterial activity against Staphylococcus aureus, highlighting its potential as a cost‐effective therapeutic agent.

Transcriptomics-based study on the GDP-mannose synthesis pathway and salt tolerance mechanism in Auricularia heimuer

open access: yesScientia Horticulturae
Salt stress severely limits the cultivation and productivity of Auricularia heimuer. In this study, physiological and transcriptomic analyses were integrated to elucidate the salt tolerance mechanisms of A. heimuer using a salt-tolerant strain (H2) and a
