Searching for similarities in EU corporate income taxes for their harmonization

open access: yesEconomics and Business Review, 2020
The purpose of this paper is to answer the question whether, despite the differentiation of the corporate income tax in the European Union, there are similarity patterns allowing for the harmonization of the bases of this tax.

Characterization of the type strain ofBacillus thuringiensissubsp.camerounserotype H32 [PDF]

open access: yesFEMS Microbiology Letters, 1994
The strain 273 B, the type strain of a H serotype of Bacillus thuringiensis not yet characterized: B. thuringiensis subsp. cameroun, serotype H32, was isolated from soil samples collected in Cameroon. This strain produces cuboidal parasporal bodies composed of two major proteins of 53 kDa and 35 kDa.

Microstructure evolution of 5052 aluminum alloy after electromagnetic-driven stamping following different heat treatment conditions

open access: yesJournal of Materials Research and Technology
Aluminum alloy possesses poor plastic deformation ability under quasi-static stamping (QS). Hence, the plastic deformation behavior and microstructure evolution of 5052 aluminum alloy in electromagnetic driven stamping (EMDS) and QS under different heat ...

Unlocking a Nitrosuccinate Lyase for Decarboxylative Enzymatic Hydronitration

open access: yesAngewandte Chemie International Edition, EarlyView.
The nitrosuccinate lyase CreD catalyzes C–NO2 bond formation using nitrite in water and shows synthetic practicality with high turnover numbers up to 102,000. A combination of protein engineering and computational methods helped to reveal the mechanistic principles that underpin this unique enzymatic activity.

Hybrid Quatsome‐Encapsulated Silver Nanoparticles as Stable Plasmonic Substrates for Surface‐Enhanced Raman Scattering

open access: yesJournal of Raman Spectroscopy, EarlyView.
In this work, silver nanoparticles encapsulated within quatsome membranes have shown to preserve their plasmonic properties for at least 165 days without aggregation. These hybrid nanostructures enable strong SERS enhancement of pyrene and Prodan by confining the molecules within a few nanometers from the silver surface.

Nitrogen-Fixing Paenibacillus haidiansis and Paenibacillus sanfengchensis: Two Novel Species from Plant Rhizospheres

open access: yesMicroorganisms
Two strains, M1 and H32 with nitrogen-fixing ability, were isolated from the rhizospheres of different plants. Genome sequence analysis showed that a nif (nitrogen fixation) gene cluster composed of nine genes (nifB nifH nifD nifK nifE nifN nifX hesA ...
