Morphine Tolerance Gated through EZH2‐Mediated Suppression of Trpc5 in Spinal GABAergic Interneurons in Male Mice

open access: yesAdvanced Science, Volume 13, Issue 1, 5 January 2026.
Chronic morphine suppresses Trpc5 in spinal GABAergic interneurons via EZH2‐mediated histone modification, reducing Ca2+ influx and GABA release. TRPC5 activation enhances morphine analgesia, while EZH2 inhibition restores efficacy and reverses tolerance.

DDEL-05. PHARMACOKINETIC ASSESSMENT OF CONVECTION-ENHANCED DELIVERY OF SMALL MOLECULE DRUGS FOR H3 K27-ALTERED DIFFUSE MIDLINE GLIOMA [PDF]

open access: yesNeuro Oncol, 2023
Abstract H3 K27-altered diffuse midline gliomas (DMG) are uniformly lethal tumors for which no therapy has been found to be effective. The blood-brain barrier (BBB) restricts uptake and accumulation of systemically administered drugs in the brain.

Chromatin and oxygen sensing in the context of JmjC histone demethylases [PDF]

open access: yes, 2014
Responding appropriately to changes in oxygen availability is essential for multicellular organism survival. Molecularly, cells have evolved intricate gene expression programmes to handle this stressful condition.

The Crosstalk Between CRL5 and APC/C E3 Ligases Regulates Metastasis and Chemosensitivity of Cancer Cells

open access: yesAdvanced Science, Volume 13, Issue 3, 14 January 2026.
This study uncovers a previously unknown crosstalk between two major ubiquitin ligases, CRL5 and APC/C. The authors identify APC11 as a binding partner of CUL5, showing that their interaction regulates neddylation, substrate stability, and mitotic progression.

ADA2 Forms Nuclear Condensates with GCN5 and ATP‐Citrate Lyase (ACL) to Modulate H3K9 Acetylation at Genes Functioning in Rice Meristems

open access: yesAdvanced Science, Volume 13, Issue 5, 27 January 2026.
This study unveils a novel GAA (GCN5‐ADA2‐ACL) complex that forms nuclear condensates to boost local acetyl‐CoA, facilitating histone acetylation and gene transcription in rice meristems. The research underscores the role of ADA2's disordered region in complex condensation and ACL's role in acetyl‐CoA production.

Clinical Characteristics and Prognostic Factors in H3 K27- altered Diffuse Midline Gliomas: A 64 Cases Retrospective Cohort Analysis

open access: yes, 2023
Abstract Purpose This study aims to systematically assess patient characteristics, identify clinical factors guiding treatment decisions, and predict the prognosis of H3 K27-altered Diffuse Midline Glioma (DMG/K27M). Methods A retrospective review of 64 consecutive DMG/K27M patients was conducted.

Bridging the genetical environmental gap in Parkinson's disease through epigenetics [PDF]

open access: yes, 2016
Parkinson's Disease (PD) is a progressive neurodegenerative disorder affecting 2% of the population over 60 years old, yet the exact molecular mechanism underlying its pathogenesis remains elusive.

Phosphorylation event changes the RNA binding mode of EZH2 disordered segment

open access: yesProtein Science, Volume 35, Issue 1, January 2026.
Abstract Polycomb repressive complex 2 (PRC2), which exhibits an important gene silencing role in development and differentiation, has been shown to interact with several long non‐coding RNAs (lncRNAs) that influence its function and determine its localization.

Molecular alterations in pediatric brainstem gliomas [PDF]

open access: yes, 2017
BackgroundDiffuse intrinsic pontine gliomas (DIPGs) have a dismal prognosis. Previously, diagnosis was based on a typical clinical presentation and magnetic resonance imaging findings.
