Strong Metal‐Support Interactions on TiO2‐Supported Metal Catalysts for Fine‐Tuning Catalysis

open access: yesAngewandte Chemie International Edition, Volume 65, Issue 1, 2 January 2026.
This review offers an in‐depth overview and guide to the origin, modulation, and dynamics of strong metal‐support interaction (SMSI) in TiO2‐based catalysts for optimizing catalysis. It explores the functions of oxygen vacancies, surface/alloy formation energies, and TiO2 structural/thermal aspects.

A Review of the Analytical Methods used for Seaplanes Performance Prediction [PDF]

open access: yes, 2018
Purpose – this paper aims to investigate the different analytical methods used to predict the performance of seaplanes in the wing-in-ground effect region. This was achieved by comparing between the analytical methods available in the literature.

Natural Products Targeting the EGFR/HER2 Axis in Tumorigenesis: Interpretation of Molecular Mechanisms and Recent Insights Into Synergistic Strategies for Cancer Therapy

open access: yesFood Frontiers, Volume 7, Issue 1, January 2026.
Schematic overview illustrating the anticancer mechanisms of selected natural products (resveratrol, quercetin, berberine) targeting EGFR and HER2 signaling pathways in tumor cells. These compounds inhibit receptor activation and downstream oncogenic cascades, including PI3K/Akt/mTOR, MAPK/ERK, and STAT3 pathways.

Sustainable Natural Product Glycosylation: A Critical Evaluation of Biocatalytic and Chemical Approaches

open access: yesChemSusChem, Volume 18, Issue 20, October 23, 2025.
Developing a process to produce glycosylated natural products involves many decisions, and given the current climate crisis, the environmental impact of the various processes must be a major consideration. This review provides an overview of the various processes and a framework for which metrics should be quantified to select processes that are both ...

Multi‐performance‐based optimal design method of locally resonant metastructures for structural control

open access: yesComputer-Aided Civil and Infrastructure Engineering, Volume 40, Issue 25, Page 4193-4211, 20 October 2025.
Abstract Locally resonant metamaterials (LRMs) have been extensively investigated for wave attenuation; however, the interaction between their bandgaps and a structure's modal dynamics remains relatively unexplored. To address this gap, a design framework is presented to quantify and enhance the structural control performance enabled by LRM‐induced ...

Spatially Resolved Observation of Ferroelectric‐to‐Paraelectric Phase Transition in a Two‐Dimensional Halide Perovskite

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, Volume 37, Issue 33, August 21, 2025.
Temperature‐dependent nanoscale ferroelectric domain evolution and the ferroelectric‐to‐paraelectric phase transition in 2D halide perovskites is visualized using piezoresponse force microscopy. The phase transition initiates locally below the Curie temperature and progressively propagates as paraelectric regions expand.

Synthesis of Beta‐Enaminoketones and Enaminoesters Catalyzed by Brønsted Acids Ammonium Chloride and Glycine Hydrochloride

open access: yesChemistrySelect, Volume 10, Issue 21, June 4, 2025.
Beta‐diketones and beta‐ketoesters were reacted with aliphatic or aromatic amines to give stable enaminones, catalyzed by either ammonium chloride or glycine hydrochloride, as inexpensive and nontoxic catalysts. The reactions were conducted under neat conditions with short work‐up, catalyst recovery and a few demonstrations of reaction telescoping to ...

Inhibition of Bone Morphogenetic Protein Signaling Prevents Tau Pathology in iPSC Derived Neurons and PS19 Mice

open access: yesAnnals of Neurology, Volume 97, Issue 4, Page 657-672, April 2025.
Objective Many neurodegenerative disorders share a common pathologic feature involving the deposition of abnormal tau protein in the brain (tauopathies). This suggests that there may be some shared pathophysiologic mechanism(s). The largest risk factor for the majority of these disorders is aging, suggesting involvement of the aging process in the ...

Two-Dimensional Potential Method Simulations of a Body–Strake Configuration

open access: yes, 2014
The lee-side flow over a cruciform wing–body configuration at supersonic speeds in the “+” orientation up to angles of 25 deg have been simulated using the single concentrated vortex and discrete vortex model methods. The wings or strakes are of very low
