Complementarity determining region residues aspartic acid at H55, serine at H95 and tyrosines at H97 and L96 play important roles in the B72.3 antibody–TAG72 antigen interaction [PDF]

open access: yesProtein Engineering, Design and Selection, 1996
Structural analysis derived from the crystallographic study of the chimeric B72.3 antibody illustrated some major atomic interactions between complementarity determining region (CDR) residues. For example, hydrogen bonds are formed between H35/H95, L50/H97, H53/H55 and H96/L96 respectively. These CDR residues may play important roles in the B72.3-TAG72

Expressed and cryptic flagellin genes in the H44 and H55 type strains of Escherichia coli

open access: yesGenes and Genetic Systems, 2007
Bacterial H antigens are specified by flagellin molecules, which constitute the flagellar filament. Escherichia coli 781-55 and E2987-73 are the type strains for H44 and H55 antigens, respectively. Unlike E. coli K-12, they possess two flagellin genes, fliC and fllA, on their chromosomes.

Novel Application of UHPLC-MS, HRMS, and 2D-NMR for Structural Elucidation of Eletriptan Hydrobromide and Its Novel Degradation Products. [PDF]

open access: yesBiomed Chromatogr
ABSTRACT A stability‐indicating UHPLC–MS method was developed to investigate the stress degradation behavior of eletriptan hydrobromide under ICH‐recommended acidic, alkaline, neutral, oxidative, thermal, and photolytic conditions. Significant degradation was observed only under acidic and oxidative stress.

Self-ordered silver nanoparticles on nanoconcave plasmonic lattices for SERS multi-antibiotic detection. [PDF]

open access: yesNanophotonics
Abstract Antibiotic detection at trace levels in different matrices is an important tool for environmental monitoring, clinical diagnostics, and pharmaceutical quality control. Using aluminum concavities covered with silver nanoparticles (AgNPs), this study introduces another approach for the surface‐enhanced Raman spectroscopy (SERS) detection of ...
