In Vivo Comparison of the Renin Inhibitor H77 with the Angiotensin-Converting Enzyme Inhibitor Captopril

Journal of Cardiovascular Pharmacology, 1984
Changes in blood pressure and heart rate in response to the renin inhibitor H77 and the angiotensin-converting enzyme inhibitor captopril were compared in conscious dogs during progressive sodium depletion. There were significant positive correlations between plasma renin activities immediately prior to administration of the inhibitors and the ...

Effects of the Renin Inhibitor H77 on the Pressor Responses to Injected Pig, Rat and Dog Renins in vivo

Journal of Hypertension, 1983
The potency of the substrate analogue inhibitor H77 has been investigated in vivo in anaesthetized rats and conscious dogs. ID50 values have been determined against rat, dog and pig renins injected into rats and against dog renin injected into dogs. In the rat H77 was most potent against injected dog renin (ID50 0.53 mg/kg/h), of intermediate potency ...

Effects of the renin inhibitor H77 on angiotensin II, arterial pressure and cardiac function in conscious dogs: comparison with captopril

Journal of Hypertension, 1989
The renin inhibitor H77 and the angiotensin I converting enzyme (ACE) inhibitor captopril were compared in separate experiments with infusion of 5% dextrose as a control for the effects on plasma angiotensin II (Ang II) concentration, arterial pressure and cardiac function, measured by Swan-Ganz catheter, in conscious dogs.

Selective inhibition by 4,?-dimethyl-m-tyramine (H77/77) and 4-methyl-?-ethyl-m-tyramine (H75/12) of the monoamine oxidase within serotonergic and noradrenergic neurons in the rat brain

Naunyn-Schmiedeberg's Archives of Pharmacology, 1988
1. The inhibition of monoamine oxidase (MAO) by 4, alpha-dimethyl-m-tyramine (H77/77) and 4-methyl-alpha-ethyl-m-tyramine (H75/12), two amine releasing compounds, within monoaminergic neurons in the rat hypothalamus and striatum in vivo was determined.
