Fast Arabic Glyph Recognizer based on Haar Cascade Classifiers
Proceedings of the 3rd International Conference on Pattern Recognition Applications and Methods, 2014Optical Character Recognition (OCR) is an important technology. The Arabic language lacks both the variety of OCR systems and the depth of research relative to Roman scripts. A machine learning, Haar-Cascade classifier (HCC) approach was introduced by Viola and Jones (Viola and Jones 2001) to achieve rapid object detection based on a boosted cascade ...

Eye-gaze tracking system by haar cascade classifier
2016 IEEE 11th Conference on Industrial Electronics and Applications (ICIEA), 2016Human can quickly and effortlessly focus on a few most interesting points in an image. Different observers tend to have the same fixations towards the same scene. In order to predict observer's fixations, eye gaze information can be used to reveal human attention and interest. This paper presents a real-time eye gaze tracking system.

A versatile recognition processor employing Haar-like feature and cascaded classifier
2009 IEEE International Solid-State Circuits Conference - Digest of Technical Papers, 2009This paper presents a versatile recognition processor that performs detection and recognition of image, video, sound and acceleration signals, while dissipating 0.15µW/fps to 0.47mW/fps (Fig. 8.2.1). Given the low power dissipation of sub-mW/fps, this processor is suitable for use in portable electronics and wireless sensor networks (WSN) [1].

Arabic character recognition using a Haar cascade classifier approach (HCC)
Pattern Analysis and Applications, 2015Optical character recognition (OCR) shows great potential for rapid data entry, but has limited success when applied to the Arabic language. Traditional OCR problems are compounded by the nature of Arabic language and because the script is heavily connected.

Robot Detection with a Cascade of Boosted Classifiers Based on Haar-Like Features
2011Accurate world modeling is important for efficient multi-robot planning in robot soccer. Visual detection of the robots on the field in addition to all other objects of interest is crucial to achieve this goal. The problem of robot detection gets even harder when robots with only on board sensing capabilities, limited field of view, and restricted ...
