Function approximation using Haar wavelets

AIP Conference Proceedings, 2020
The generalized approach for function approximation using Haar wavelets is proposed. An approach proposed is based on higher order wavelet expansion and algorithms for determining integration constants. The theoretical study is validated by numerical analysis.

Onp-adic functions preserving Haar measure

Mathematical Notes, 1998
Let \(f(x)\) be a function from the set \(\mathbb{I}_p\) of all \(p\)-adic integers into itself, and \(\varphi_k: \mathbb{I}_p\to \mathbb{Z}/p^k\) be the canonical epimorphism of the ring \(\mathbb{I}_p\) onto the residue class ring \(\mathbb{Z}/p^k\) module \(p^k\), and \(f_k(x)\) be the function induced on \(\mathbb{Z}/p^k\) by \(f(x)\) (i.e., \(f_k (

Haar Transformation of Linear Boolean Function

2009 International Conference on Signal Processing Systems, 2009
Haar transform is known to have the smallest computational requirement with a considerable interest and attraction drawn towards its spectral properties of Boolean functions. This paper presents Haar transform of Linear Boolean functions, where by the discussion is based on the transformation from the Boolean domain to the Haar domain.

Minimization of Haar wavelet series and Haar spectral decision diagrams for discrete functions

Computers & Electrical Engineering, 2005
In this paper, a minimization of Haar wavelet series for simplification of circuits and Haar based decision diagrams representing discrete multiple-valued functions is proposed. The minimization is performed by permutation of indices of generalized Haar functions. Experimental results show that this method provides reasonable reduction in the number of

Haar spectra of Generalized Boolean bent functions

Annales Universitatis Scientiarum Budapestinensis de Rolando Eötvös nominatae Sectio computatorica
This paper presents a discussion of Haar spectra for Generalized Boolean bent functions. The definition and multiresolution feature of Haar coefficients and their organization into packets provides a deeper insight into bent functions and their properties.

Object Shape Description Using Haar-Wavelet Functions

2008 3rd International Conference on Information and Communication Technologies: From Theory to Applications, 2008
Similar to the shape description using Mexican Hat Wavelet functions we present in this paper the derivation of object descriptors using Haar Wavelets. The derivation is based on the continuous wavelet transformation of an angle function using the Haar function as mother wavelet.
