Indigenous Entrepreneurship in the Canadian Cannabis Industry: A Media Analysis Explored Through Self‐Determination Theory

open access: yesCanadian Journal of Administrative Sciences / Revue Canadienne des Sciences de l'Administration, Volume 43, Issue 3, September 2026.
ABSTRACT First Nations in Canada are exercising inherent sovereignty through cannabis entrepreneurship, enacting community‐based regulatory frameworks and asserting jurisdictional authority over economic activities within their territories. Through analyzing 71 Canadian media articles, this study examines how First Nations governance innovation and ...

Wavelet‐Based Hurst Exponent Estimation

open access: yesWIREs Computational Statistics, Volume 18, Issue 3, September 2026.
The review explores how wavelet‐based methods for estimating the Hurst parameters have developed from their theoretical roots to real‐world applications in fields like biology, engineering, and telecommunications. The review aims to highlight key techniques, compare their strengths and limitations, and point out challenges that still need to be ...

Respectfully Excluded: Symbolic Violence, Space and Benevolent Sexism in Academia in Pakistan

open access: yesGender, Work &Organization, Volume 33, Issue 5, Page 1959-1972, September 2026.
ABSTRACT Feminist scholars have long recognized the gender‐based challenges that women in academia face. We undertake a qualitative study of how women in academic institutions in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KPK), a province in Pakistan, experience exclusion. We draw on narratives elicited through hypothetical vignettes from 10 women academics in KPK, collected

Surface subgroups for cocompact lattices of isometries of H2n$\mathbb {H}^{2n}$

open access: yesJournal of Topology, Volume 19, Issue 3, September 2026.
Abstract We prove the existence of surface subgroups within any cocompact lattice Γ$\Gamma$ in SO(2n,1)$\mathrm{SO}(2n,1)$ for n⩾2$n\geqslant 2$. This result addresses the cases missing from the work of Hamenstädt in 2015, who constructed surface subgroups in cocompact lattices for all other rank‐1 simple Lie groups of noncompact type.

Invariant Measure and Universality of the 2D Yang–Mills Langevin Dynamic

open access: yesCommunications on Pure and Applied Mathematics, Volume 79, Issue 8, Page 1973-2102, August 2026.
ABSTRACT We prove that the Yang–Mills (YM) measure for the trivial principal bundle over the two‐dimensional torus, with any connected, compact structure group, is invariant for the associated renormalised Langevin dynamic. Our argument relies on a combination of regularity structures, lattice gauge‐fixing and Bourgain's method for invariant measures ...

AWT‐YOLO: Lightweight Rail Surface Defect Detection Algorithm Based on YOLOv11 Improvement

open access: yesEngineering Reports, Volume 8, Issue 8, August 2026.
The proposed improvement route and method architecture related to this study. ABSTRACT Railway safety and operational reliability critically depend on timely and accurate inspection of rail infrastructure. Nevertheless, existing visual neural network‐based inspection methods frequently fail to achieve an optimal balance between detection accuracy and ...

Feasibility of convection‐enhanced delivery of unlabeled 225Ac for glioblastoma: Transport, dosimetry, and clonogenic survival modeling

open access: yesMedical Physics, Volume 53, Issue 8, August 2026.
Abstract Background Glioblastoma (GB) is an aggressive primary brain tumor with local recurrence rates exceeding 90% and a five‐year survival rate of approximately 5%. Standard treatments such as surgical resection, external beam radiotherapy (EBRT), and chemotherapy often leave residual tumor cells that are resistant to therapy.

Two highly accurate and efficient numerical methods for solving the fractional Liénard’s equation arising in oscillating circuits

open access: yesPartial Differential Equations in Applied Mathematics
In this paper, we investigate the fractional model of the Liénard and Duffing equations with the Liouville-Caputo fractional derivative. These equations grow with the evolution of radio and vacuum tube technology, which describe oscillating circuits and ...
