Sepsis secondary to cystitis in a guinea pig (Cavia porcellus)
Abstract Cystitis is a frequent, often chronic and recurrent disease in guinea pigs (Cavia porcellus). This report describes a case of a 2‐year‐old, entire, female Abyssinian guinea pig with fatal cystitis. The animal was presented with progressive chronic cystitis and had previously been treated with several antibiotics and analgesics.

Recent Tropical Cyclone Outer Size Increases in the Western North Atlantic
Abstract The outer size of a tropical cyclone (TC) plays a pivotal role in its impact through a modulation of wind duration, rainfall extent and storm surge. While global and basin scale trends in TC size have been examined previously, whether there have been regional changes over time remains unclear. Here, using a suite of observations and reanalyses,

Optimising Image Feature Extraction and Selection: A Comprehensive Review With Spark Case Studies
ABSTRACT As benchmark image datasets expand in sample size and feature complexity, the challenge of managing increased dimensionality becomes apparent. Contrary to the expectation that more features equate to enhanced information and improved outcomes, the curse of dimensionality often hampers performance.

Summary Plants typically host insect communities composed of multiple trophic levels that are intricately linked through interactions mediated by the shared food plant. Hyperparasitoids are top‐level carnivores in such systems, preying on parasitoid larvae developing inside herbivores. These hyperparasitoids can dramatically reduce the effectiveness of

ABSTRACT This theoretical article examines the dynamics of stability and change in public policy coalitions using the Advocacy Coalition Framework as a foundation. We focus on how intra‐coalition and inter‐coalition coordination serves as a causal factor influencing the stability of coalition composition and the mobility of actors over time, especially

Difference methods for infinite systems of hyperbolic functional differential equations on the Haar pyramid [PDF]
We consider the Cauchy problem for infinite system of differential functional equations \[\partial_tz_k(t,x)=f_k(t,x,z,\partial_xz_k(t,x)),\;k\in\mathbf{N}.\] In the paper we consider a general class of difference methods for this problem.

Tks4‐Targeted Gene Therapy Inhibited White Adipocyte Hypertrophy in Mice
Tks4 knockout or knockdown by AAV mediated shRNA both successfully restricted adipocyte hypertrophy in high fat diet. The reduction of TAG was validated by biochemistry and lipidomics analyses. This study suggested a potential of Tks4 targeted therapy in obesity intervention. ABSTRACT Obesity is one of the most prevalent public health issues worldwide,
