ANALISIS DEKOMPOSISI WAVELET PADA PENGENALAN POLA LURIK DENGAN METODE LEARNING VECTOR QUANTIZATION

open access: yesIlkom Jurnal Ilmiah, 2017

The Power of Spousal Support in Ministry: A Longitudinal Study of Social Support Profiles, Marital Quality, and Ministry Satisfaction Among United Methodist Clergy

open access: yesJournal for the Scientific Study of Religion, Volume 65, Issue 2, Page 374-385, June 2026.
ABSTRACT For many occupations, the toll of work‐related stressors on job satisfaction may be mitigated by social and emotional support. However, social support may be different for clergy, considering their unique work environment. Using data from the Clergy Health Initiative Longitudinal Survey, this study examines the relationship between different ...

Wavelet Multiresolution Analysis of High-Frequency FX Rates, Summer 1997 [PDF]

open access: yes
FX pricing processes are nonstationary and their frequency characteristics are time-dependent. Most do not conform to geometric Brownian motion, since they exhibit a scaling law with a Hurst exponent between zero and 0.5 and fractal dimensions between 1 ...

Sparse orthogonal matrices and the Haar wavelet

open access: yesDiscrete Applied Mathematics, 2000
The authors discuss the sparsity of orthogonal matrices which have a column of nonzero entries. It is shown that the minimun number of nonzero entries in such a matrix of size \(m\times m\) is \[ (\lfloor m\rfloor +3)m-2^{\lfloor m\rfloor+1}. \] This is optimal, as the paper characterizes the matrices which achieve this number.

WE‐UNet: A Wavelet‐enhanced U‐Net framework for radiation dose reduction in chest radiography

open access: yesJournal of Applied Clinical Medical Physics, Volume 27, Issue 5, May 2026.
Abstract Background Reducing ionizing radiation exposure is a critical goal guided by the as‐low‐as‐reasonably‐achievable (ALARA) principle. Aggressively lowering radiation doses in radiography, however, amplifies image noise, compromising diagnostic quality.

The Wavelet-based Estimation for Long Memory Signal Plus Noise Models [PDF]

open access: yes
We propose new wavelet-based procedure to estimate the memory parameter of an unobserved process from an observed process affected by noise in order to improve the performance of the estimator by taking into account the dependency of the wavelet ...

Wavelets obtained by continuous deformations of the Haar wavelet

open access: yesRevista Matemática Iberoamericana, 1996
One might obtain the impression, from the wavelet literature, that the class of orthogonal wavelets is divided into subclasses, like compactly supported ones on one side, band-limited ones on the other side. The main purpose of this work is to show that, in fact, the class of low-pass filters associated with "reasonable" (in the localization sense, not

The Floor‐Ceiling‐Chip, or 2 × 2D = Pseudo‐3D—Approaching 3D Cell Morphology and Organization between Two Opposing 2D Substrates with Cell‐Adhesive Protein Micropatterns

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, Volume 15, Issue 19, 22 May 2026.
Here, we present a novel 3D cell patterning and culture platform. The “Floor‐Ceiling‐Chip” (FC‐Chip) consists of two opposing track‐etched membranes, creating a pseudo‐3D microenvironment for the cells in between. By providing the membranes with micropatterned cell‐adhesive islands of varying geometries and sizes, the FC‐Chip enables control over cell ...

On the block wavelet transform applied to the boundary element method

open access: yes, 2004
This paper follows an earlier work by Bucher et al. [1] on the application of wavelet transforms to the boundary element method, which shows how to reuse models stored in compressed form to solve new models with the same geometry but arbitrary load cases
