Psittaciformes are among the most threatened birds, and population size and trend estimates are needed to aid conservation. The burrowing parrot Cyanoliseus patagonus is undergoing substantial changes in its population size, due to habitat degradation, trapping for the pet trade, and persecution as crop pest.

Many farmland birds such as the grey partridge Perdix perdix are experiencing sharp declines across Europe, which can lead to fragmentation and increasing isolation of local populations. Understanding the population dynamics of these local populations is becoming increasingly important for effective conservation efforts.

Habitable Zones of Host Stars During the Post-MS Phase [PDF]
A star will become brighter and brighter with stellar evolution, and the distance of its habitable zone will become farther and farther. Some planets outside the habitable zone of a host star during the main sequence phase may enter the habitable zone of the host star during other evolutionary phases.

Resilient habitability of nearby exoplanet systems [PDF]
We investigate the possibility of finding Earth-like planets in the habitable zone of 34 nearby FGK-dwarfs, each known to host one giant planet exterior to their habitable zone detected by RV. First we simulate the dynamics of the planetary systems in their present day configurations and determine the fraction of stable planetary orbits within their ...

Left‐digit bias in property taxes
Abstract This article investigates whether homebuyers display a form of cognitive bias called left digit bias when it comes to future property taxes. Using a regression discontinuity method, and under both hedonic and repeat‐sales estimations, homes with property tax obligations that are just under a $1000 threshold are shown to sell for 0.5% more than

Considering the Tank Stream, I examine the embedded hydro‐imperial characteristics that these infrastructures still hold.
