Comparative genomics of Gondwana‐diverged Pila and Pomacea reveals parallel evolution of aerial oviposition. Convergent chromosomal rearrangements reshape regulatory landscapes within topologically associating domains. Lineage‐specific gene family expansions and viral‐derived perivitelline proteins (PV1) underpin desiccation resistance.

HABITAT PREFERENCE IN THEBOMBINAHYBRID ZONE IN CROATIA [PDF]
This paper demonstrates the effect of habitat heterogeneity and a habitat preference on the genetic structure of a hybrid zone between the toads Bombina bombina and B. variegata (Anura: Discoglossidae); 1613 toads from 85 sites across a transect near Pešćenica, Croatia, were scored for five unlinked diagnostic allozyme markers.

Microbial Odorant Detection Guides Drosophila Parasitoids Seeking Hosts in Fermenting Fruits
Yeast microbes in fermenting fruits attract both host flies and their parasitoid wasps. Female Leptopilina boulardi detect yeast‐emitted ethyl esters via two olfactory receptors, LbouOR167 and LbouOR136. A conserved residue, Leu159, is critical for binding these compounds, enabling female wasps to locate host‐rich habitats.

Detailed analysis of habitat suitability curves for macroinvertebrates and functional feeding groups
Environmental flows have primarily a practical purpose, being an important part of water management. Despite the widespread use of environmental flows, current studies rarely describe practical insights of the methods or consider environmental flows ...

ABSTRACT Native plants offer a variety of aesthetic (e.g., fall colour, fruit, flowers) and functional benefits (e.g., pollinator friendly, wildlife friendly, water management). How these benefits influence consumer choice and perceived value of native versus introduced plants is not well understood.

A Preferred‐Habitat Model of the Term Structure of Interest Rates [PDF]
We model the term structure of interest rates that results from the interaction between investors with preferences for specific maturities and risk‐averse arbitrageurs. Shocks to the short rate are transmitted to long rates through arbitrageurs' carry trades.
