Unveiling the Taxonomic Diversity and Unprecedented Biosynthetic Treasure of the Phylum Myxococcota
Natural products remain vital sources of therapeutics, and the phylum Myxococcota constitutes an especially rich reservoir for them. Based on decades of microbiological efforts, we present 154 new Myxococcota genomes and revise taxonomy quadrupling the number of families and genera.

Groundwater Rise Sustains the World's Largest Alpine Water System Under Global Warming
Shallow groundwater depth (SGWD) across the non‐permafrost plains of the Qinghai–Xizang Plateau decreased at averagely 0.02 m year−1, adding 31.44 Gt of freshwater storage from 2000 to 2020 and sustaining ∼53 500 km2 of alpine ecosystems. A vadose‐zone capacity of 426.6 Gt reveals these aquifers as promising reservoirs, highlighting groundwater's ...

A Permutation-based Combination of Sign Tests for Assessing Habitat Selection [PDF]
The analysis of habitat use in radio-tagged animals is approached by comparing the portions of use vs the portions of availability observed for each habitat type.

Habitat selection of Dendrocygna javanica in heterogeneous lakes of Malaysia
Monitoring the habitat selection of lesser whistling Duck (Dendrocygna javanica) is highly crucial for species conservation and management. In this study, habitat selection of D.

In an invasive beetle–fungus complex, the mutualist Leptographium procerum induces host HSP83 and modulates Toll‐dependent antifungal immunity. HSP83 mediates two‐tiered control by associating with selected fungal recognition receptors and restraining Dorsal‐driven antimicrobial peptide transcription.

Habitat Selection and Mating Success in a Mustelid
Habitat selection remains a poorly understood ecological process, but relating mating behaviour to pattern of habitat selection constitutes a fundamental issue both in evolutionary ecology and in biological conservation.

Habitat selection and range use of little owls in relation to habitat patterns at three spatial scales [PDF]
Understanding the rules of habitat selection and the individual behavioural routinesin the home-range is crucial for developing evidence-based conservation action. We investigated habitat selection and range use of adult little owlsAthene noctuain ...
