From apex to base: Uncovering spatial metabolic adaptation in Antarctic mosses
Antarctic mosses survive extreme cold, desiccation, UV exposure, and oxidative stress. We analyzed three species by separating apical, middle, and basal zones. Each zone showed distinct metabolite patterns and biological roles, revealing spatial metabolic specialization. The results suggest that whole‐plant survival depends on coordinated contributions
