Single‐Breathhold 3D MR Elastography in the Liver, With Simultaneous R2* and PDFF Mapping

open access: yesMagnetic Resonance in Medicine, EarlyView.
Purpose To develop a sequence for the rapid acquisition of MR elastography (MRE) parameters in 3D, with simultaneous measurement of proton‐density fat fraction (PDFF) and R2* for multiparametric assessment of liver disease. Methods The proposed sequence uses an interleaved motion‐encoding scheme to acquire 3D volumes of all motion encodings and wave ...

Finite‐Time Disturbance Observer‐Based Nonlinear Robust Adaptive Control of Hydraulic Manipulator With Parameter Identification

open access: yesInternational Journal of Mechanical System Dynamics, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Hydraulic manipulators exhibit strong coupling, pronounced nonlinearities, and significant modeling uncertainties, which hinder high‐precision motion control. This paper proposes a finite‐time disturbance observer–based nonlinear robust adaptive control (RAC‐FTDO) framework enhanced by a physically consistent dynamic parameter identification ...

Extension and generalization inequalities involving the Khatri-Rao product of several positive matrices

open access: yesJournal of Inequalities and Applications, 2006
Recently, there have been many authors, who established a number of inequalities involving Khatri-Rao and Hadamard products of two positive matrices. In this paper, the results are established in the following three ways.

Hadamard products of algebraic functions

open access: yesJournal of Number Theory, 2014
Allouche and Mendès France [1] have defined the grade of a formal power series with algebraic coefficients as the smallest integer k such that this series is the Hadamard product of k algebraic power series. In this paper, we obtain lower and upper bounds for the grade of hypergeometric series by comparing two different asymptotic expansions of their ...

NowPrecip 2: Precipitation nowcasting in the complex terrain of Switzerland. Part I: Methods

open access: yesQuarterly Journal of the Royal Meteorological Society, EarlyView.
In this work we present the methods of the areal precipitation nowcasting system NowPrecip version 2. In this version a new methodology is introduced, which, although it shares philosophy and techniques with the original methodology of NowPrecip version 1, can be considered as distinct from that.

Hermite-Hadamard type integral inequalities for products of two generalized (s; m; ξ)-preinvex functions

open access: yesMoroccan Journal of Pure and Applied Analysis, 2017
In this paper, the notion of generalized (s; m; ξ)-preinvex function is introduced and some new integral inequalities for the left-hand side of Gauss-Jacobi type quadrature formula involving generalized (s; m; ξ)-preinvex functions along with beta ...

Phase I Multivariate Coefficient of Variation Control Charts for High‐Dimensional Processes

open access: yesQuality and Reliability Engineering International, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Multivariate control charts have traditionally focused on monitoring the process mean vector and/or covariance matrix. Recent studies have extended this framework to Phase II monitoring of the multivariate coefficient of variation (MCV); yet very limited work has examined MCV‐based monitoring in Phase I.

A Resource Efficient Ising Model‐Based Quantum Sudoku Solver

open access: yesSoftware: Practice and Experience, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background Quantum algorithms exploit superposition and parallelism to address complex combinatorial problems, many of which fall into the non‐polynomial (NP) class. Sudoku, a widely known logic‐based puzzle, is proven to be NP‐complete and thus presents a suitable testbed for exploring quantum optimization approaches.

On the spectral norms of r-circulant matrices with the biperiodic Fibonacci and Lucas numbers

open access: yesJournal of Inequalities and Applications, 2017
In this paper, we present new upper and lower bounds for the spectral norms of the r-circulant matrices Q=Cr((ba)ξ(1)2q0,(ba)ξ(2)2q1,(ba)ξ(3)2q2,…,(ba)ξ(n)2qn−1) $Q=C_{r} ( (\frac{b}{a} )^{\frac{\xi (1)}{2}}q_{0}, (\frac{b}{a} )^{\frac{\xi(2)}{2}}q_{1}, (

Hadamard Product of Monomial Ideals and the Hadamard Package

open access: yesMathematics
In this paper, we generalize and study the concept of Hadamard product of ideals of projective varieties to the case of monomial ideals. We have a research direction similar to the one of the join of monomial ideals contained in a paper of Sturmfels and Sullivant.
