‘Where the Creeks Run Dry or Ten Feet High’: A Probabilistic Approach to Stage Height Forecasting in Australia

open access: yesWater Resources Research, Volume 61, Issue 9, September 2025.
Abstract Streamflow prediction is a challenging but important task as it affects many processes in the environment. In Australia, the task is particularly complex because the transition from low to high flows can be rapid, and the overall variability is high.

Untangling US Employment Changes: Production Technology Versus Trade Structure

open access: yesReview of International Economics, Volume 33, Issue 4, Page 837-852, September 2025.
ABSTRACT This paper quantifies how much trade structure and production technology changes contribute to US employment changes. We apply a structural decomposition analysis (SDA) to global input–output tables. SDA extends the conventional shift‐share analysis and splits employment changes into the contributions by several drivers.

The Robin problems for the coupled system of reaction–diffusion equations

open access: yesBoundary Value Problems
This article investigates the local well-posedness of Turing-type reaction–diffusion equations with Robin boundary conditions in the Sobolev space. Utilizing the Hadamard norm, we derive estimates for Fokas unified transform solutions for linear initial ...

Sparse Fréchet sufficient dimension reduction with graphical structure among predictors

open access: yesScandinavian Journal of Statistics, Volume 52, Issue 3, Page 1422-1443, September 2025.
Abstract Fréchet regression has received considerable attention to model metric‐space valued responses that are complex and non‐Euclidean data, such as probability distributions and vectors on the unit sphere. However, existing Fréchet regression literature focuses on the classical setting where the predictor dimension is fixed, and the sample size ...
