Processes Governing the Recovery of a Perturbed Thermohaline Circulation in HadCM3
Abstract In an experiment with the latest version of the Hadley Centre climate model the model response has been analyzed after the thermohaline circulation (THC) in the Atlantic Ocean has been suppressed. The suppression is induced by a strong initial perturbation to the salinity distribution in the upper layer of the northern North Atlantic.

The Effect of Climate Change on Volume of Water Resources and Transfer of Inter-Basin Water [PDF]
Climate change is a serious challenge to human interest by its adverse effect on various sectors, such as water sources, agriculture, and energy. According to IPCC report, the average annual temperature of the earth has been raised between 0.3 to 0.6º ...

Impact on the ocean of extreme Greenland Sea heat loss in the HadCM3 coupled ocean‐atmosphere model [PDF]
The ocean response to air‐sea flux variability in the Greenland Sea is investigated using a 1000 year run of the coupled ocean‐atmosphere model HadCM3. Evaluation of the density flux reveals that net heat flux anomalies have a greater impact on surface density changes than anomalies in both net evaporation and ice melt/formation.

Investigating the Uncertainty Effect of GCMs Output on the Prediction of Meteorological Parameters in Golestan Province [PDF]
One of the important issues in assessing climate change using the output of General Circulation Models (GCMs) is their uncertainty so that the outputs of a model in a region may vary with another model in the same region.

1990 to 2050 Atmospheric SO2 Ancillary Files for HadCM3
SO2 emissions are a major source of uncertainty for climate model studies. From the Coupled Model Intercomparison Project Phase 5 (CMIP5) historical data and representative concentration pathway (RCP) data is readily available for use in climate models.

Investigation into the Effects of Climate Change on Reference Evapotranspiration Using the HadCM3 and LARS-WG [PDF]
This study evaluates the effect of climate change on reference evapotranspiration (ET0), which is one of the most important variables in water resources management and irrigation scheduling. For this purpose, daily weather data of 30 Iranian weather stations from 1981 and 2010 were used.
