Electron beam monitoring of a modified conventional medical accelerator with a portable current transformer system traceable to primary electrical standards

open access: yesMedical Physics, Volume 52, Issue 4, Page 2581-2592, April 2025.
Abstract Background Ultra‐high dose rate radiotherapy (UHDR) delivers therapeutic doses at rates >40 Gy/s in a fraction of a second, aiming to enhance the therapeutic ratio through the FLASH effect. The substantial increase in UHDR beam current poses serious challenges for conventional active dosimeters.

Ferrites with a Minimized Secondary Electron Yield

open access: yesAdvanced Science, Volume 12, Issue 10, March 13, 2025.
Ferrites are a key material in particle accelerators and space science, exposing them to high energy electrons and leading to multipacting, charging and electron cloud formation. Laser engineered surface structures are shown to dramatically reduce the secondary electron yield of ferrite eliminating these issues.

Visible GeV ALP from TeV Vector‐Like Leptons

open access: yesFortschritte der Physik, Volume 73, Issue 3, March 2025.
Abstract A model is presented where a GeV axion‐like‐particle (ALP) is predicted in a large portion of the parameter space due to the presence of explicit Peccei–Quinn (PQ) symmetry‐breaking terms in an exotic leptonic sector. The latter provides a solution to the muon g−2$g-2$ anomaly, within the framework of the Linear Seesaw neutrino mechanism.

Studies of Parity Violation in Atoms

open access: yesAnnalen der Physik, Volume 537, Issue 2, February 2025.
This article provides an overview of atomic parity violation (APV), emphasizing its role in testing the Standard Model and probing new physics. The review discusses manifestations of APV, including nuclear‐spin‐independent and dependent effects, and explores isotopic comparison as a method for precision measurements.

High energy QCD as a completely integrable model [PDF]

open access: yes, 1994
We show that the one-dimensional lattice model proposed by Lipatov to describe the high energy scattering of hadrons in multicolor QCD is completely integrable.

Measurement of t-channel production of single top quarks and antiquarks in pp collisions at 13 TeV using the full ATLAS Run 2 data sample

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics
The production of single top quarks and top antiquarks via the t-channel exchange of a virtual W boson is measured in proton-proton collisions at a centre-of-mass energy of 13 TeV at the LHC using 140 fb −1 of ATLAS data.

Searches for third-generation scalar leptoquarks in s $$ \sqrt{s} $$ = 13 TeV pp collisions with the ATLAS detector

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics, 2019
Limits are set on the pair production of scalar leptoquarks, where all possible decays of the leptoquark into a quark (t, b) and a lepton (τ, ν) of the third generation are considered. The limits are presented as a function of the leptoquark mass and the

Bose-Einstein correlations of charged hadrons in proton-proton collisions at s $$ \sqrt{s} $$ = 13 TeV

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics, 2020
Bose-Einstein correlations of charged hadrons are measured over a broad multiplicity range, from a few particles up to about 250 reconstructed charged hadrons in proton-proton collisions at s $$ \sqrt{s} $$ = 13 TeV.

Search for direct pair production of sleptons and charginos decaying to two leptons and neutralinos with mass splittings near the W-boson mass in s $$ \sqrt{s} $$ = 13 TeV pp collisions with the ATLAS detector

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics, 2023
A search for the electroweak production of pairs of charged sleptons or charginos decaying into two-lepton final states with missing transverse momentum is presented.
