Effects of vacuum polarization in hadron-hadron scattering

Physical Review Letters, 1989
To investigate the effect of vacuum polarization in the Coulomb interaction between hadrons, the relative differential cross section for elastic /sup 12/C-/sup 12/C scattering at E/sub lab/ = 4 MeV has been measured with high precision. The data are compared to theoretical calculations that take into account the contribution of the U-dieresishling ...

Diffraction model of elastic hadron-hadron scattering

Physical Review D, 1994
A simple diffractive amplitude for high-energy elastic hadron-hadron scattering is given, which includes some typical cases of diffraction. We show the similarities of the model to a realistic geometrical model which explains [ital pp] and [ital [bar p]p] scattering in the energy region [radical][ital s] [le]1.8 TeV well and could provide a reasonable ...

Hadron-hadron scattering at large momentum transfer

Il Nuovo Cimento A, 1973
A model for wide-angle hadron-hadron scattering is developed in analogy with our present ideas about deep inelastic leptonnucleon scattering. The experimental consequences of this model are examined.

Forward hadron-hadron scattering at high energy

Pramana, 1982
The high energy elastic scattering of pp,\(p\bar p\), pπ+, pπ−, pk+ andpk − processes is studied at forward directions. The expressions for total scattering cross-sections and the ratios of real-to-imaginary parts of the forward amplitude are derived inP+f model. For the Regge part of the scattering amplitude, the standard form is taken.

Hadron-Hadron and Hadron-Nucleus Scattering

1993
In this contribution we discuss two problems in the physics of strong interactions. These problems are intended to introduce the reader to two important and active areas of research in the field of theoretical nuclear physics.

Deep Inelastic Hadron-Hadron Scattering

Physica Scripta, 1982
This paper is a written version of three lectures given at the 1980 Arctic School of Physics held at Akaslompolo in Finland. The lectures were pitched at a very elementary and basic level, the aim being to familiarize the audience with the main ideas and results, and, I hope, to act as a bridge for the uninitiated to the real literature of the subject.
