Switching Reciprocity On and Off in a Magneto-Optical X-Ray Scattering Experiment Using Nuclear Resonance of 57Fe Foils [PDF]

open access: yesPhysical Review Letters 109, 237402 (2012), 2014
Reciprocity is when the scattering amplitude of wave propagation satisfies a symmetry property, connecting a scattering process with an appropriate reversed one. We report on an experiment using nuclear resonance scattering of synchrotron radiation, which demonstrates that magneto-optical materials do not necessarily violate reciprocity.

Single spin asymmetries in inclusive high energy hadron-hadron collision processes [PDF]

open access: yes, 2000
It has been realized for quite a long time that single-spin experiments, in which one of the colliding objects is transversely polarized, can be helpful in studying the properties of strong interaction in general and in testing Quantum Chromodynamics ...

High energy inelastic electron hadron scattering, in peripheral kinematics. Sum rules for hadron form factors [PDF]

open access: yes, 2006
Relations between differential cross section for inelastic scattering of electrons on hadrons and hadron form factors (sum rules) are derived on the basis of analytical properties of heavy photon forward Compton scattering on hadrons.

Neutrino Backgrounds to Dark Matter Searches [PDF]

open access: yesPhys.Rev.D76:033007,2007, 2007
Neutrino coherent scattering cross sections can be as large as 10^{-39} cm^2, while current dark matter experiments have sensitivities to WIMP coherent scattering cross sections five orders of magnitude smaller; future experiments plan to have sensitivities to cross sections as small as 10^{-48} cm^2.

Polarized Semi-Inclusive Deep-Inelastic Scattering at Next-to-Next-to-Leading Order in QCD. [PDF]

open access: yesPhysical Review Letters
Semi-inclusive hadron production in longitudinally polarized deep-inelastic lepton-nucleon scattering is a powerful tool for resolving the quark flavor decomposition of the proton's spin structure.

The Color Glass Condensate

open access: yes, 2010
We provide a broad overview of the theoretical status and phenomenological applications of the Color Glass Condensate effective field theory describing universal properties of saturated gluons in hadron wavefunctions that are extracted from deeply ...

Hadron-hadron scattering at high energies

open access: yes, 2000
We review the role of the QCD vacuum structure in the determination of the properties of states and processes occurring in the confinement regime of QCD.

K^- p scattering length from scattering experiments [PDF]

open access: yesPhys.Rev.C74:055201,2006, 2006
The strong K^- p scattering length is extracted within chiral SU(3) unitary approaches from a very large variety of fits to low-energy K^- p scattering data. Very good overall agreement with available scattering data is obtained and the resulting scattering length is compared with the new accurate kaonic hydrogen data from DEAR.

QCD resummation for semi-inclusive hadron production processes

open access: yes, 2012
We investigate the resummation of large logarithmic perturbative corrections to hadron production in electron-positron annihilation and semi-inclusive deep-inelastic scattering.

Beyond the black disk limit: from shadow to antishadow scattering mode

open access: yes, 1998
New mode in the hadron scattering is predicted to appear at the energies beyond $\sqrt{s}\simeq 2$ TeV: the antishadow scattering mode and the experiments at LHC and VLHC in hadronic reactions will be able to reveal it.
