A comparative analysis of GEANT4, MCNP6 and FLUKA on proton‐induced gamma‐ray simulation
Abstract Background Precise range verification is essential in proton therapy to minimize treatment margins due to the steep dose fall‐off of proton beams. The emission of secondary radiation from nuclear reactions between incident particles and tissues stands out as a promising method for range verification. Two prominent techniques are PET and Prompt

Hadron tomography studies by generalized parton distributions and distribution amplitudes
We discuss hadron-tomography studies for the nucleon and exotic hadrons by high-energy hadron reactions. First, the constituent-counting rule is explained for determining internal quark configurations of exotic-hadron candidates by scaling properties of ...

Exotic hadrons at hadron colliders [PDF]
Exotic resonant structures found in Λ 0 b and B 0 decays into charmonium in the LHCb experiment are discussed. Examination of the J/ψ p system in Λ 0 b → J/ψ K−p decays shows two states each of which must be composed of uudcc quarks, and thus are called charmonium pentaquarks.

Direct X(3872) production in e+e− collisions
Direct production of the charmonium-like state X(3872) in e+e− collisions is considered in the framework of the vector meson dominance model. An order-of-magnitude estimate for the width Γ(X→e+e−) is found to be ≳0.03 eV. The same approach applied to the

The non extensive aspects of pT distributions obtained in high energy collisions are discussed in relation to possible fractal structure in hadrons, in the sense of the thermofractal structure recently introduced. The evidences of self-similarity in both

Exotic Hadron Spectroscopy [PDF]
Since ten years ago experiments have been observing a host of exotic states decaying into heavy quarkonia. The interpretation of most of them still remains uncertain and, in some cases, controversial. Notwithstanding, a considerable progress has been made on the quality of the experimental information available and a number of ideas and models have ...
