Hadron-hadron colliders

AIP Conference Proceedings, 1983
The objective is to investigate whether existing technology might be extrapolated to provide the conceptual framework for a major hadron-hadron collider facility for high energy physics experimentation for the remainder of this century. One contribution to this large effort is to formalize the methods and mathematical tools necessary.

Hadron-Hadron and Hadron-Nucleus Scattering

1993
In this contribution we discuss two problems in the physics of strong interactions. These problems are intended to introduce the reader to two important and active areas of research in the field of theoretical nuclear physics.

Firetube model and hadron-hadron collisions

Physical Review D, 1992
A new version of the firetube model is developed to describe hadron-hadron collisions at ultrarelativistic energies. Several improvements are introduced in order to include the longitudinal expansion of intermediate fireballs, which remedies the overestimates of the transverse momenta in the previous version.

Hadron-hadron colliders

AIP Conference Proceedings, 1985
A comparison between electron−positron and proton−antiproton colliders is used to initiate a discussion of current trends in hadron−hadron colliders. Specific accelerators (SSC, FFAG, ISR, SPS, and TeV I) are discussed. Also, current detection technology is discussed. (AIP)

Color screening in hadron-hadron and hadron-nucleus collisions at high energies

Physical Review D, 1991
We consider color-screening effects in soft hadron-hadron and hadron-nucleus collisions at high energies using the idea of constituent (or dressed) quarks. It is shown that the quark color-screening hypothesis can be formulated as a sum rule for the elastic and inelastic quark-quark amplitudes.

Multifractal thermodynamics of hadron-hadron and hadron-nucleus interactions

The European Physical Journal A, 1998
It is shown that the constant-specific-heat approximation is applicable to multifractal thermodynamics of hadron-hadron and hadron-nucleus interactions at high energies. Moreover, the constant specific heats calculated from experimental data on hadron-hadron and hadron-nucleus interactions have approximately the same value for both these types of ...

Hadronization and inelasticities

Physical Review D, 1994
In this work we extend our previous analysis concerning the behavior of inelasticity at high energies and discuss the effects of the hadronization process on this quantity. We analyze the UA5 and UA7 data on rapidity distributions.
