Hadron melting and QCD thermodynamics [PDF]

open access: yes, 2013
We study in this paper mechanisms of hadron melting based on the spectral representation of hadronic quantum channels, and examine the hadron width dependence of the pressure. The findings are applied to a statistical hadron model of QCD thermodynamics, where hadron masses are distributed by the Hagedorn model and a uniform mechanism for producing ...

Circular attractors as heating mechanism in coherent electron cooling

open access: yesPhysical Review Accelerators and Beams, 2022
We show that under certain conditions a longitudinal mismatch between an electron and a hadron beam in a coherent electron cooling (CeC) scheme creates a circular attractor in the longitudinal phase space of the cooled hadrons.

Signatures of Parton Exogamy in e+ e- -> W+ W- -> hadrons [PDF]

open access: yesPhys.Lett.B404:230-237,1997, 1997
We propose possible signatures of `exogamous' combinations between partons in the different W+ and W- hadron showers in e+e- -> W+W- events with purely hadronic final states. Within the space-time model for hadronic shower development that we have proposed previously, we find a possible difference of about 10 % between the mean hadronic multiplicity in

Quantum‐Classical Simulation of Quantum Field Theory by Quantum Circuit Learning

open access: yesAnnalen der Physik, EarlyView.
Quantum circuit learning is employed to simulate quantum field theories (QFTs). By integrating a minimal qubit configuration and low‐depth circuits, the approach predicts real‐time dynamics accurately. It effectively simulates complex phenomena such as quench and chiral dynamics in a model of quantum electrodynamics, aligning well with classical ...

Effects of hadronic rescattering on multistrange hadrons in high-energy nuclear collisions [PDF]

open access: yesPhys. Rev. C 92, 044907 (2015), 2015
We study the effects of hadronic rescattering on hadron distributions in high-energy nuclear collisions by using an integrated dynamical approach. This approach is based on a hybrid model combining (3+1)-dimensional ideal hydrodynamics for the quark gluon plasma (QGP), and a transport model for the hadron resonance gas.

Exploring Dark Photon Production and Kinetic Mixing Constraints in Heavy‐Ion Collisions

open access: yesAstronomische Nachrichten, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Vector U‐bosons, often referred to as “dark photons,” are potential candidates for mediating dark matter interactions. In this study, we outline a procedure to derive theoretical constraints on the upper bound of the kinetic mixing parameter ϵ2MU$$ {\upvarepsilon}^2\left({M}_U\right) $$ using dilepton data from heavy‐ion from SIS to RHIC ...

Novel scenario for production of heavy flavored mesons in heavy ion collisions

open access: yesEPJ Web of Conferences, 2017
The observed strong suppression of heavy flavored hadrons produced with high pT, is caused by final state interactions with the created dense medium.

Direct X(3872) production in e+e− collisions

open access: yesPhysics Letters B, 2014
Direct production of the charmonium-like state X(3872) in e+e− collisions is considered in the framework of the vector meson dominance model. An order-of-magnitude estimate for the width Γ(X→e+e−) is found to be ≳0.03 eV. The same approach applied to the

The Quest for the Quark‐Gluon Plasma From the Perspective of Dynamical Models of Relativistic Heavy‐Ion Collisions

open access: yesAstronomische Nachrichten, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT The physics of heavy‐ion collisions is one of the most exciting and challenging directions of science for the last four decades. On the theoretical side one deals with a non‐abelian field theory, while on the experimental side today's largest accelerators are needed to enable these studies.

Experimental overview on open-heavy flavours [PDF]

open access: yesEPJ Web of Conferences
Heavy flavours, i.e. charm and beauty quarks, are recognised as excellent probes of the colour-deconfined medium created in ultrarelativistic heavy–ion collisions, the quark–gluon plasma (QGP).
