KINETIC DESCRIPTION OF HADRON–HADRON COLLISIONS [PDF]

open access: yesInternational Journal of Modern Physics E, 2008
A transport model based on the mean free path approach to describe pp collisions is proposed. We assume that hadrons can be treated as bags of partons similarly to the MIT bag model. When the energy density in the collision is higher than a critical value, the bags break and partons are liberated. The partons expand and can coalesce to form new hadrons.

Mission Target: Exotic Multiquark Hadrons—Sharpened Blades

open access: yesUniverse, 2023
Motivated by recent experimental progress in establishing the likely existence of (variants of) exotic hadrons, predicted to be formed by the strong interactions, various proposed concepts and ideas are compiled in an attempt to draft a coherent picture ...

QCD vs. the Centrifugal Barrier: a New QCD Effect *

open access: yesEPJ Web of Conferences, 2014
We propose an extended schematic model for hadrons in which quarks and diquarks alike serve as building blocks. The outcome is a reclassification of the hadron spectrum in which there are no radially excited hadrons: all mesons and baryons previously ...

Measurement of strange baryon production in charged-particle jets in pp and p-Pb collisions with ALICE [PDF]

open access: yesEPJ Web of Conferences
The enhancement of the ratio of strange to non-strange hadrons with increasing charged-particle multiplicity density is often interpreted as a signature of the medium formed in heavy-ion collisions.

Heavy flavour spectroscopy and hadron properties from LHCb

open access: yesEPJ Web of Conferences, 2018
The LHCb experiment is designed to study the properties and decays of heavy flavored hadrons produced in pp collisions at the LHC. The data collected enables precision spectroscopy studies of beauty and charm hadrons.

Effects of jet-induced medium excitation in γ-hadron correlation in A+A collisions

open access: yesPhysics Letters B, 2018
Coupled Linear Boltzmann Transport and hydrodynamics (CoLBT-hydro) is developed for co-current and event-by-event simulations of jet transport and jet-induced medium excitation (j.i.m.e.) in high-energy heavy-ion collisions.

An Experimental Review on Elliptic Flow of Strange and Multistrange Hadrons in Relativistic Heavy Ion Collisions

open access: yesAdvances in High Energy Physics, 2016
Strange hadrons, especially multistrange hadrons, are good probes for the early partonic stage of heavy ion collisions due to their small hadronic cross sections.

Hadronic and Hadron-Like Physics of Dark Matter [PDF]

open access: yesSymmetry, 2019
The problems of simple elementary weakly interacting massive particles (WIMPs) appeal to extend the physical basis for nonbaryonic dark matter. Such extension involves more sophisticated dark matter candidates from physics beyond the Standard Model (BSM) of elementary particles.
